Vatican road show: Papal art treasures touring U.S. museums
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. ‚ÄĒ It's not often the Vatican goes on a road show.

When you're one of the planet's foremost cultural and religious institutions, the world tends to come to you. Those who want to see art commissioned by the popes or vie for an up close look at Pope Benedict XVI's fisherman's ring generally have to brave a trip to Rome.

"Vatican Splendors From Saint Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and the Swiss Guard," which opened this month at Florida International Museum, brings some of the Catholic Church's most exquisite items on a three-city U.S. tour. ...

Again:Will this then mean that BOB JONES UNIVERSITY'S Collection of Art; Sculptures, Paintings (which include nudes) & Other Art Treasures ALSO be touring U.S. & World-Wide Museums ?

Remember, BOB JONES UNIVERSITY, only second to the Satanic-Vatican, has the World's MOST Valued Art Collection: Sculptures & "Protestant" Paintings--including, but no confind to, Rembrandt's "Head of Christ" !

*Note: I personally have seen Bob Jones University's Art Collection with my very own eyes; as Dr. Bob Jones Jr., when he was Chancellor at BJU, made it a strong point to advise all the students at BJU to take a tour of The Archives & Museum At Bob Jones University.

My Favorite Painting was The Protrait of That Jewish Rabbi:

Which So Wonderfully Reminds Me Of Nicodemus' Visit To The Lord Jesus Christ At Night; And The Lord Jesus' Discourse To Nicodemus On Being Spiritually Born-Again:

That Is, The ONE & ONLY Holy-Spiritual Rebirth/Regeneration/Salvation According To The Authorized-Biblical-Literalist Interpretation of The Gospel According To The Apostle, Saint John, Chapter Three (3), Verses One Through Sixteen (1-16)

As Recorded In The Authorized Holy Bible/Scriptures; as Found In The Authorized "King James" Version of THE AUTHORIZED HOLY "TEXTUS-RECEPTUS" BIBLE/SCRIPUTURES !

Ah, G.G., it isn't the secular works that are going to be on display, though the fairytale movie The Shoes of the Fisherman, could never happen, because the leadership of the RCC likes it' porn. It should unload much of the secular stuff, as described in "Treasures of the Vatican" and Mixing Paganism with Christianity and spend the sale proceeds on charity. But as I said, a fairytale. I found Neil's comments very appropriate for the Vatican gang.

The Swiss Guards have an interesting history as is pointed out in A Fresh look at the Swiss Guard Murders Part 2 , etc.

"The average Athenian citizen, if he so desired, could daily contemplate the most magnificent specimens of architecture, painting, and sculpture the world has ever seen. The effect of this upon the citizens was the same as the effect of art upon citizens today."

I understand that the Protestant world does have an art collection...but that some rude soul colored outside the lines on all of the pictures...but not to worry, they still have their collection of paper doll clothes for a cutout of Queen Liz II in her skivies.

‚ÄúTreasures of the Vatican‚ÄĚ the book is mentioned in this article as well as in Mixing Paganism with Christianity, the RCC not only mixes religion together but art styles as well.

Do you think artistic treasures are junk, Minnow? (Well, perhaps you're the sort of person who does.)

I constantly seek indulgences. They cost me nothing (except some time with God), and don't seem to bring with them any danger of starving to death.

Hey Lance/GG;
Was all this junk bought with indulgences, especially from the peasants who had the audacity to starve to death. Mind you we must remember that the indulgence bought them a couple of inches of purgatorial atonement.
