Church of Rome ‘in terminal decline’ in Britain says report
“Church is called to action on mass exit,” say the headlines of the Catholic Times (January 20).

It continues, “A gloomy picture of a church in terminal decline in almost every area has been predicted by extensive new research”.

Mass attendance has halved over the last 50 years. “Cradle baptisms” have declined by a quarter. Converts have fallen by a third. The number of Roman Catholics measured by baptisms, marriages and burials has fallen by 23% over the last half century, from 5 million to below 4 million. Marriages have fallen by 59%. The membership of the Church has aged.

The Times concludes, “The Roman Catholic Church in Britain is facing its greatest threat since the Reformation, according to research”. ...

Minnow, the errors of the Romanish Church is legion, Is A Catholic Christian An Oxymoron?, however, I don't see a corresponding growth in Chrisitianity in the UK, either.

Historically the Papacy has tried to run things through the hierarchy. This could have been part of it's drift into error in ancient times. That and the fact that they are a bunch of Arminians too.
