If Church got rid of gay clergy it would collapse?
The openly homosexual bishop whose ordination sparked the split in the Anglican Communion has claimed that the Church of England would come close to shutting down if it was forced to manage without gay clergy.
The Bishop of New Hampshire in the US, the Right Rev Gene Robinson, who is divorced and lives openly in partnership with a gay man, said that he found it mystifying that the mother Church of the Anglican Communion was unable to be honest about the number of gay clergy in its ranks.
He said that many of the English Church’s clergy lived openly in their rectories with gay partners, with the full knowledge of their bishops. But he criticised the stance of bishops who threaten the clergy with enmity should their relationships become public. Speaking in an interview in London, Bishop Roninson said: “I have met so many gay-partnered clergy here and it is so troubling to hear them tell me that...

Hi Dan Good point on the word gay, I remember when it meant happy
Let me add another word If Church got rid of gay clergy it would collapse?
(I refuse to misuse the word, CHURCH, the way they do) (sorry, on a cut a paste roll) I also remember when they were called A House Of Worship Jesus said Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
The openly homosexual bishop whose ordination sparked the split in the Anglican Communion has claimed that the Church of England would come close to shutting down if it was forced to manage without gay clergy So, this openly homosexual bishop in My house, that shall be called the house of prayer would pray what, send more sodomites, and pray to who, My God, I don't think so. This place is not a CHURCH, so shut it down. Why do christians call them that?
This is the issue that cost us a million $. My church walked out of the national church because they demanded we accept sodomite ministers. The million was the price of the buildings now inhabited by so few members that they worship easily in the enterance way instead of the main building.
A church that promotes deliberate sin, should fall.
The sad fact is that these churches have already collapsed spiritually, they are buildings filled with unregenerate hearts, there may be a warm body in the pew, but the heart is cold and unchanged, dead to the word of the Lord. Why do people continually insist on rejecting the word of the Lord so they can cling to their sins? The warnings to the seven churches in Revelation are obviously not adhered to, as well as the scriptures commanding church discipline. Broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many will be on it.
