SBC presidency showdown brewing
(ABP) -- Evangelical scholar and seminary president Al Mohler will be nominated for the Southern Baptist Convention presidency next June, but he likely will face opposition for the prominent post.

Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., will be nominated by Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church of Dallas. Jeffress announced his intention to nominate Mohler Jan. 2 through the SBC’s news agency.

Prominent SBC blogger Wade Burleson, who earlier predicted Mohler would be nominated -- and lose -- said Jan. 4 that he expects a little-known pastor to be nominated and be elected over Mohler. ...

there are a couple of measures the admins could take,as you suggest

I think a "3 strikes and you're out" system would be a good idea....3 infractions against the rules or ethos of the forum,and your IP address is barred....

I am the Patrick who comments from time to time one these forums (just yesterday on a sermon by Ian Brown), and looking in today as time permits I see someone has "borrowed" my moniker.
Not that I have a Trade Mark on what is a fairly common name, but just to clarify that the comment below is not mine, nor would the crude anti Reformist sentiment be made by me.
