THE advice may go against the instinct of almost every parent, but new guidance says young boys should be encouraged to play with toy guns.
According to recommendations from the UK government, playing with pretend weapons at an early age may encourage an enthusiasm for learning.
In the new guidelines, nursery staff are told to resist their "natural instinct" to stop boys playing with weapons. But some teachers have criticised the advice for nurseries in England and Wales, warning that toy guns "symbolise aggression" and adding that the advice amounted to gender stereotyping....
The male instinct to be a soldier and hunter is strong and natural.
The reason why the "play with guns" idea was removed from the playground in the first place, is the recent rise in liberal and politically correct philosopy. Liberalism is anti-nature and pro-humanism. Political correctness is anti-law, antiChristian and anarchic.
With the proper supervision, boys can learn much from using real guns. Face it, men are hunters, knife, spear, gun...teach boys to be responsible, self-reliant, environmentalists...who hunt, not some mob of fish-belly white metro-sexuals who have never been outdoors for more than 15 minutes at a stretch.
Notice at the end of the article that the PRO position on this issue is held by an expert in the field (Child Development) while the CON position is held by what appears to be a beurocrat (Children's Commissioner).
To me, that pretty much says it all!
Just what the heck IS a Children's Commissioner anyway?
My brother and I spent many hours playing with toy guns as kids and turned out just fine as adults (we learned muzzle control at a very early age). In fact today he and his wife are very much ANTI-gun, which proves to me that playing with toy guns alone doesn't turn people into firearms criminals.
