Direct MP3 Links From Your Own Website, Bypass SermonAudio
Attention all users!
We now support direct linking to the MP3 sermons of your church account on SermonAudio! How does it work? When you display sermon listings on your own website with any of our copy-and-paste interactive sermon browser HTML code, visitors will have the option of clicking to PLAY or DOWNLOAD the sermon directly (without going through SermonAudio).
In the past, the optional registration page on SermonAudio was an essential step to help gather accurate download statistics for our broadcasters' monthly reports. However, we recognize that it is equally important to offer the option of direct linking especially when the sermons are listed on external websites -- ie: the church's website.
Clicking on the sermon title will still give visitors the option of viewing the corresponding sermon page on SermonAudio if they so desire. This will allow them to access the regular set of sermon functions for that particular sermon such as the ability to add public comments for the benefit of the SermonAudio audience among other things.
With this new option of direct linking to MP3s and with the availability of our SermonAudio SOAP API's for web developers and programmers, churches can now more than ever enjoy the best of both worlds of having the exposure of broadcasting to a large, listening audience, while at the same time having the option of placing sermons, independently, on a separate church website!
We hope you enjoy these improvements! We value your feedback and continued support!
Excellent! I look forward to trying this out as I find sharing sermon mp3s a good witnessing tool online.
I assume there will be no autoplay type function such as to get one sermon to start playing as soon as a visitor loads the page? And I assume no playlists either? I am just wildly dreaming I guess
