Archbishop calls for age of criminal responsibility to be raised
The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev Dr Rowan Williams has called for the Government to raise the age of criminal responsibility.
Dr Williams told the Sunday Telegraph: "The tragedy of where we are at present is that, at one and the same time, children are treated like adults and at other levels they are left to flounder in real immaturity and neediness."
Under current legislation in England and Wales, children can be charged with criminal offences from as young as the age of 10. Campaigners, however, are arguing this should be raised to avoid branding children as ‚Äúdelinquents‚ÄĚ from a young age....
Since "The Rev" has gone Muslim, he must be pushing for this so the youngsters can get as much "pipe bomb" training as possible before they are let loose on the streets. We wouldn't want to get anybody hurt until they are ready!
He should look at the law-enforcement in Germany. Youngsters of 8 or 9 band up in gangs and terrorize other children; teenagers beat up pensioners for a few euros - and they all have to be sent home. Oh yes - they are asked please not to do it again. "They¬īre only children."
Has the "Most Rev!" forgotten about the recent murders by young people on young people?. Just more liberal propaganda by "The most Reverend" seeking to appear as a great churchman in the midst of a Biblical illiterate nation. Makes me spit.
"The Archbishop was quick to add that he was not ignoring the seriousness of some of the crimes these young children commit, but said that it was important to recognise a young teenager "may still in very many important respects still genuinely be a child".
More mind-numbingly puerile advice in the form of Liberalism. The C of E has really lost the plot, and the politically correct liberal values they have obtained from Satan, serve only to reject reality and the Bible.
It is no surprise that these hypocrites sanctify the most deviant practices and annul the Laws of God.
Proverbs 29:16 "When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall."
Proverbs 20:11 "Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right."
Proverbs 22:15 "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him."
