Books calling for the beheading of lapsed Muslims, ordering women to remain indoors and forbidding interfaith marriage are being sold inside some of Britain’s leading mosques, according to research seen by The Times.
Some of the fundamentalist works were found at the bookshop in the London Central mosque in Regent’s Park, which is funded by the Saudi regime and is regularly visited by government ministers. Its director, Ahmad al-Dubayan, is also a Saudi diplomat and was among those greeting King Abdullah when he arrived in Britain last night for his official state visit.
Extremist literature, including passages supporting the stoning of adulterers and waging violent jihad, was also found on sale at many other mosques regarded as mainstream institutions....
I am fully aware that modern western society rejects capital punishment. But for a Christian the Bible is the ultimate authority and not the ever-changing standards of a wicked society.
Jim, I agree with not killing unbelievers. We are in a SPIRITUAL Battle. Nevetheless I believe that a godly government should implement the death penalty for adultery like most islamic states do. I believe the Old Testament legal codex is still valid today. The death penalty should not be limited to adultery of course but applied to all crimes that deserve capital punishment according to the Scriptures.
Christian, the only thing that the Christian is to be aggressive in is spreading the gospel not killing unbelievers.
The article that SermonAudio has called our attention to is not only good for British readers but American ones as well, since Saudi Arabia is such a supposed good friend of our country also, with even our President holding hands with the despot of this country.
This also interesting reading,"If I were a Muslim....."
Ephesians 6 is the Christians daily wardrobe. But as I understand it, the Bible is full of spiritual wars from beginning to the end. Though our weapons are spiritual and therefore more powerful and invincible than all the carnal weapons of men. All Christians are called to fight the fight of faith.
From your comment it seems you have given this matter some thought.
Do you have any insights that the Lord has given you in being militant for our faith? If you have anything that you think might be helpful to us I would appreciate hearing.
I wished all Christians were as militant for their faith as these muslims are for their religion. At least they do not let themselves be intimidated by political correctness. By the way born-again Christians should not marry non-believers either. Some neo-evangelicals could learn a lesson in morality from the poor deceived muslims.
