VATICAN CITY (AP) — A Vatican official suspended after being caught on hidden camera making advances to a young man said in an interview published Sunday that he is not gay and was only pretending to be gay as part of his work.
In an interview published Sunday, Monsignor Tommaso Stenico told La Repubblica daily he frequented online gay chat rooms and met with gay men as part of his work as a psychoanalyst. He said that he pretended to be gay in order to gather information about "those who damage the image of the Church with homosexual activity."...

You came to mind as I was reading this morning. In the book of Acts, chapter 26 is an example of a non-Christian getting a taste of Christian doctrine and yelling something like what you said – “Paul!! You’re crazy!!!” (my paraphrase).
Please re-read that Bible you say you’ve read with the idea that it just might be true. Start with the book of John. Find out Who the whole Bible is about.
And please excuse the actions of some immature believers on this forum who forget to be Christ-like in what they post. They are quick to give “a piece of their mind” instead of His mind.

Christian Raas In answer to your question...Yes, sadly the false teaching about Mary being a perpetual virgin along with a celibate priesthood and let's not forget celibate nuns has contributed greatly to Catholics changing the wonderful gift God has given to be enjoyed in marriage into something that is thought of as quite dirty yet something that is craved for.
I once witnessed to a man raised Catholic who thought it was sin for him to have sex with his wife for pleasure and not for trying to have a child.

BTW letting priest marry IS NOT THE ANSWER Catholics need to renounce and leave Catholicism and be saved and follow Christ.
Don't forget this is an open user forum on the internet that anybody can use. If you think you've walked into a church you are mistaken. Nobody said this was a church group. It is a mixture of varied and sundry opinions.
Your opinion of everybody else here tells a little about yourself too.
Secondly, don't judge everbody on the basis of the opinions of one person, which I think is what you are doing to some extent. There are many who contribute well thought out postings on here which are well supported, both with the Bible and other sources.
If you find a lot of it unbelievable, maybe it is because of your own lack of knowledge on the subject. Investigate it first before making a hasty judgment. You may find you will agree with a lot of what you now think are far out comments.
You say none of us sound like Jesus. Maybe you can tell us what Jesus would sound like. Did Jesus correct, rebuke, and teach. There has been a lot of that on here; maybe you haven't been around long enough.
You will be suprised to find there are quite a number on here who in fact do agree with each other on many fundamental doctrines. But what is there to say about that? This is place where those that disagree discuss their disagreements. What is there to discuss if you agree?

On a serious note, you folks need a reality check. I’m sure most of you are very sincere but sincerity cannot be used to excuse crazy beliefs and paranoia. I just want to ask you folks out there who rail against the Catholic church, do you ever stop and realize how crazy your accusations sound? Catholic conspiracies? Jesuit instigated wars, and the Pope as the Antichrist? Are you serious? Do you know how delusional you sound to the rest of the world? I’ve read a lot of your posts today and I can confidently say very few of you sound at all like this God you say you worship. None of you sound like Jesus, and before you ask, yes I’ve read the New Testament. None of you get along or have anything uplifting to say to one another. I’m not giving Catholics a pass, they’ve done plenty of bad crap, but you folks amaze me.
