Christianity's largest ecumenical movement said Monday that the US and its allies must settle their dispute over Iran's nuclear program through negotiation because the Middle East should not suffer another war "that is unlawful, immoral and ill-conceived."
The World Council of Churches, which brings together about 350 Protestant, Orthodox, and other churches representing more than 560 million Christians, also urged the complete withdrawal of US forces from Iraq.
"Don't make war in Iran," the Geneva-based WCC said. The Roman Catholic Church is not a member of the council but cooperates with it.
US-Iran tensions are running high over US allegations that Iran is secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons and supplying Iraq's Shi'ite militias with weapons that have killed US troops. Iran denies both claims....
I was just quoting an interesting article demonstrating the apostate nature of the WCC. The opening of the WCC included the aboriginal people conducting a purification ceremony which was entirely heathen in nature.
"We believe it is enough to report on the abominable ideas of syncretism and universalism which were supported there--the heresy that there is some light and salvation in heathen religions. This has been a trademark of the World Council for years, but its syncretistic emphasis grows bolder with time."

"Christianity's largest ecumenical movement" What an imposing & impressive title for a gang that knows nothing of Biblical Christianity. If they want to format foreign policy they should put their name on the ballot sheet instead of hiding behind grandiosa statements which i find laughable. Makes me spit.
I think Wayne was implying that this non-Christian behavior was being supported by the WCC. Truly we should be glad God brought the gospel to those girded in loincloths dancing around altars, for many of us will still stuck in our sin and misery.
BTW - I used to live in Aberdeen near the I-95 exit ramp.
It wasn't too many centuries ago that men in Scotland, England and Ireland were "girded in loincloths", with their faces painted "in tribal decoration", "dancing around altars", and "beating drums". Somebody brought the gospel to them, didn't they? Or does God now only wear wingtip shoes and three piece suits, and play an organ?
The WCC is involved in deepening apostasy. The WCC meeting in February in Canberra was opened by Australian Aboriginals.
"Aboriginal men girded in loincloths and feathers, their bodies painted in tribal decoration, danced around an altar and beat drums in a traditional purification ceremony that opened the Seventh Assembly of the World Council of Churches here February 7"
Obviously, the Jerusalem Post is concerned over who is going to spend their money and shed their blood for the interests of the Zionist kingdom. Shamefully, the Evangelical wing of Christiandom will bemoan the opinion of the Ecumenists partially because they consider themselves "purer" and partially because they have been bamboozled and waylaid by faulty eschatological interpretation.
