American missionaries targeted for deportation
The German government is targeting an American family of Baptist missionaries for deportation because they belong to a group that refuses "to give their children over to the state school system," according to an international homeschool support organization.

The Home School Legal Defense Association works worldwide for the benefit of those who wish to teach their own children themselves. Officials there, and at several other international organizations, have been fighting for several years to convince the German government to recognize the well-established rights of parents to do that.

According to a report from the HSLDA, Clint Robinson, his wife Susan and their three children arrived in Germany in March after they sold their possessions in the U.S. and left to work as missionaries. ...

Christian, thanks for your input. We use to have an Evangelical Christian check into the forum from Germany, and he could give us more details as well. This strikes me as something for the Southern Baptist Conference to start supporting, even if they aren't as rich monetarily as the Saudis, who yes, fund much of the radical Islam around the world, e.g.,"U.S.-Saudi oil imports fund American mosques"

33k, I have --some-- sympathy for your sarcasm. Germany has enough sense to keep Scientology out of their country.

The problem in Germany and elsewhere in Europe is that there are so few evangelical Christians that they cannot afford to build their own schools. On the other hand the muslim community is building mosques and muslim schools all over the place because they get a lot of money from somewhere (Saudi-Arabia, Iran etc. ?). You CAN have a government-approved evangelical school in Germany ( and there may be a couple out there) but you CANNOT teach children at home. It is above all a financial matter. We do not have an evangelical school in our town but I know Christians that send their children to the nearest evangelical school some miles away, which has only be founded a few years ago. Remember, Europe has entered a "post-christian" and "neo-pagan" era which will eventually lead to its utter destruction.

One has to remember that if they give Christians home school rights Germany will have to give Muslims the same rights. Missionaries will either have to have grown children or teen-agers who can act as missionaries in the German School system?

It shows what happens when you have a large cult such as Islam in a country.

Home schoolers in Nebraska may want to look at this site,
