Homosexuality not a 'disease', says Archbishop
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, has said that homosexuality is not a "disease" on the eve of a crucial decision that could split the Anglican Church worldwide.

Dr Williams's support for gays will fuel anger among conservative Church members who will see his message of support as direct challenge to their deeply held view that homosexuality is a sin.

In his address to a key -gathering of 159 American bishops in New Orleans, the Archbishop insisted: "I do not assume that homosexual inclination is a disease."

Warning that "violence against gay and lesbian people is inexcusable," he added: "Gay and lesbian people have a place in the Church as do all the baptised." ...

Let the Bible speak for itself, for God's Word does not change with man's opinion or interpretation. Since God condemns homosexuality, let us humbly submit to the divine Word.

Thanks Christian, I will have a listen at the weekend. Have used testimonies from setting captives free before. Good to have such resources. I noted your wise comments on a few sermons over time and especially Rev Ian Brown's. Keep it going as you never know just who is being challenged reading such in the Lord's providence

Homosexuality is an abomination not just because God says so. It is abominable and, therefore, God says so.

A person who doesn't repress activities (of any kind) that are perverse to any degree, of any nature, is a person who is capable of many heinous crimes. The homosexuals of today are militant and want the most foul and perverse activities to be normalized, which is what their kind will always do. They are dangerous to themselves and to others, as well as communities at large - and even nations. They must be stopped, and if they aren't, we are all in for a very dark period of time.

No I don't have my testimony in print or online yet. But believe me there are many many more people who have left the homosexual lifestyle by the grace of God and found lasting freedom. A great website with testimonies (both in audio and in written form) from homosexuals is settingcaptivesfree.com who also offers a great biblical on-line course to help people leave homosexuality behing for good. I also recommend the audio testimonies from two former homosexuals on sermonaudio.com. Their names are Richard Yates (2 audio messages) and Peter-John Parisis (1 audio message on homosexuality). Both of them have been in the lifestyle and testify to the power of God to rescue people from the hell of Sodom. These messages need to be spread, so the world will also hear this side of the story instead of only the screaming of the homosexual activists spreading their satanic lies all over the place.

'You are right Mr. Williams, when I still "professed" a homosexual identity I did not have a disease, I was living in sin and rebellion against God. And guess what, I got convicted of the Holy Spirit to stop sinning and I did. Now I am not saying I have attained sinless perfection, but I am saying that every practicing homosexual can repent and turn to God and the Lord will set him free and help that person not to pursue this deadly devilish lifestyle anymore. I might still sin from time to time, but I am not LIVING in sin anymore. I used to believe that I could get saved and stay in the "gay" lifestyle. Now I know better. Homosexuality can be repented of and overcome by the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit. Don't let those religious hypocrites ("arch-bishop" williams & co.)fool you or you might end up together with them in eternal damnation.'

I assume that's a rhetorical question, Albert!

But then you know, already, that the Anglican Church uses Tradition, and the Reason of Man to decide what they are going to believe with the Bible tossed in there, once-in-awhile!

If they believed in the Bible, they would have no problem judging it a sin, and that definition applies to today's Christian as much as to any Christian in the past.

Thus a vile, shameful and detestable act of sin.

Sinners don't go to hell for a disease.
