Pope likely to visit Washington DC
VATICAN CITY ‚ÄĒ Pope Benedict XVI is expected to visit Washington early next year during an apostolic journey to the United States that will feature a speech to the U.N. General Assembly, Vatican sources say.

The Vatican formally has offered no details of the trip other than confirming that Benedict plans to speak at the United Nations in April.

But various reports, sparked by a report from the Catholic News Agency, which is closely linked to the U.S. Bishops Conference, suggested an April 15 to 20 itinerary with stops in Boston and possibly Baltimore, as well as New York and Washington.

The Catholic News Agency said the pope will begin his tour in Washington, stop in New York for a Mass in Central Park and a moment of reflection at ground zero and conclude in Boston. ...

Any thinking person should be appalled by any Pope, Lance.

However,"Who is a Roman Catholic?"
http://www.withchrist.org/catholic.htm
shows that the Liberals and various unthinking type you shall always have with you.

As long as the sacraments game is played, they're good Catholics (not Christians mind you.

Jim, that ianpaisley.org article got one thing exactly right:

"The [RC] liberals did hope that they were going to get vicar’s wives, abortion and contraceptives and a bit less top down church government. They now console themselves, unashamedly, with the thought that he is old and will soon be dead."

When B16 goes, however, any liberals still left are going to be even more appalled at his successor. (Please, God, let it be Cardinal Arinze.)
