Plane Crash Kills 5 Ministers in Rural Tennessee
ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. ‚ÄĒ A plane carrying five Jehovah's Witness ministers crashed in a remote area of eastern Tennessee, killing all aboard, officials said.

The crash, which happened around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, wasn't discovered until more than eight hours later, when another pilot spotted the wreckage.

Authorities had to clear a path Sunday to get to the crash site in the Cherokee National Forest on Holston Mountain. Five bodies were found, said Carter County Sheriff Chris Mathes. One of the ministers was believed to be the pilot, he said.

The single-engine Beech Bonanza crashed after leaving the Elizabethton Municipal Airport, officials said. The aircraft had taken off from Hamblen County and landed in Elizabethton to pick up two passengers. It was destined for Virginia Highlands Airport near Abingdon, Va., about 40 miles from Elizabethton. ...

Unless those Jehovah Witnesses onboard that aircraft embraced Jesus as God and Savior and put their trust in Him for salvation then they are in Hell right now.

Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise ones the food, nor do the understanding ones the riches, nor do those having knowlege have the favor;because time and unforseen occurence befall them all.

"...unless you repent, you will likewise perish." (Luke 13:5)

Every time you sin, repent! Don't let the sun go down until you repent!

David was a man after God's own heart because he was quick to repent.

Repentance is not hard--but it requires humility. Admitting one is wrong is hard for proud humanity.

In the love of Jesus Christ our Lord

1 There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?
3 "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
4 "Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."

I would like to say goodbye to all on this forum. I will no longer visit or post here. There is very little edifying and exhorting, but much argueing, name calling, division, and confusion. I started posting here simply because I saw a comment being made by a Roman Catholic defending their church. I being a former catholic, wishing to point them toward the truth, responded to their comments hoping that they might see the Truth of the Scripture and be saved from false religion as I was.
I soon found myself being a part of the same argumentive, name calling spirit that is prevalent on this forum, and I do not want to continue in it.

Good Bye, and I will continue to pray for you all.

John Yurich,

You definitely have a truncated definition of a cult. A group can believe that Jesus was God and also in the tri-unity of God and still be a cult. A common feature of cults is that they have a hierarchy that demands that their adherents believe what they tell them to believe or how they have interpreted the Scriptures for them.

Correct HD, Catholics follow a man. Jesus.

As you say, the pope is his vicar (representative).

John Urich. check you definition of a cult. A cult follows a man. Let's see now, doesn't the Catholic church say that the pope is infallible. He's the vicar of christ. Who's following a man?

If ONE will BOTHER to READ and STUDY The Satanic-Vatican's history; one will REALIZE that "Jehovah's Witnesses" and "Roman 'Catholic' Cultists" have ALOT in COMMON.

For instance, there were MANY so-called "infallible" "POPES" who DIDN'T even BELIEVE in the DEITY OF CHRIST or THE TRINITY (TRIUNITY OF THE GODHEAD); as MANY Satanic-Vaticanists & "POPES" of yesteryears/decades/centuries ago were ARIANS (DENIED THE DEITY OF CHRIST), SABELLIO-UNITARIANS (DENIED THAT THE GODHEAD HAD THREE DISTINCT INDIVIDUALS/PERSONALITIES: FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT) and OUTRIGHT UnAuthorized-Biblical-Literalists and UnHistoric-Orthodox Heretics! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

*NOTE: SATANIC-VATICANISTS & ROMAN "CATHOLIC" CULTISTS ARE SPIRITUAL ADULTERERS, IDOLATORS, MARYOLATORS, FORNICATORS, WHOREMONGERS AND LIARS (PERJURERS) !

THEY ARE NOT ONLY THOSE AFORESAID THINGS IN PRACTICE; BUT, THEY ARE ALSO THOSE AFORESAID THINGS IN PRINCIPLE: ACCORDING TO SATANIC-VATICANIST/ROMAN "CATHOLIC" CULTIC "'CANON' LAW" ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Lance,
Good try but. . .
Jesus COMMANDS us to pray.
We have not COMMAND to suffer. Suffering persecution is one result of trusting Christ alone as since the world did not know Christ, neither will they know or tolerate those who follow Christ.

"If you have EVERLASTING LIFE, how can you lose that on a daily basis? You are either adopted into God's family or you're not. That seems pretty plain, but there are some who want to keep themselves saved by working their way to heaven. Apparently the work Jesus did on Calvary wasn't good enough for them. They need our prayer."

A message to the Church (Laodiceans):

15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.

17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.

19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churc

Ernie/JD/Mr. Smithstein sez: "There are two ladies here trying to tell you that you can be saved one day and lost the next. But what happens if you die when you are lost? This is because they don't believe John 3:16."

How can you claim you have "convictions" when you change your story?

First you say God loves everybody, and anybody can be saved if they come to Jesus.

Then you say God is going to judge people to Hell because their government didn't help the Jews.

Which is it?

Not a bad answer, SB.

But if our suffering can't gain us anything, maybe our prayers can't either. After all, if Jesus has done it all, what's the point in praying?

1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Rev 14:9-10 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

SB,

There are two ladies here trying to tell you that you can be saved one day and lost the next. But what happens if you die when you are lost? This is because they don't believe John 3:16,

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE."

If you have EVERLASTING LIFE, how can you lose that on a daily basis? You are either adopted into God's family or you're not. That seems pretty plain, but there are some who want to keep themselves saved by working their way to heaven. Apparently the work Jesus did on Calvary wasn't good enough for them. SB, The point I'm making is that it is a lie that God the Father added up all the sins everybody would ever commit thruoghout history and proceeded to pour out the punishment for all those sins upon Jesus while he was on the cross.

What saves us is not God's wrath against Jesus, but rather the sacrifice Jesus made when he laid his life down for us. The blood of Jesus is so perfect and awesomely powerful that it cleans us, saves us.

We NEED Jesus, we NEED his blood. Our salvation comes from Jesus, not from God the Father's wrath against Jesus, as you said in your previous post. Scriptures says "It pleased the Lord to bruise him," not that God was counting sins and exacting specific punishment on Jesus as the Great Bean Counter.

I'm not trying to nitpick. It may seem like a fine point, but it's an important one.

Lance Human suffering is a result of Adam's sin which we are all born with. Our suffering can't gain anything.

SB, I can't understand what Obvious Truth means, either.

But back to your point: if we cannot take part in Christ's sufferings, then human suffering is meaningless -- almost as meaningless as in the atheist view of suffering.

It really disgusts me how Catholics call God down from heaven to eat him. I'm further sickened how they also consume each other at the same time.
