Colo. School Bans Tag on Its Playground
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - An elementary school has banned tag on its playground after some children complained they were harassed or chased against their will.

"It causes a lot of conflict on the playground," said Cindy Fesgen, assistant principal of the Discovery Canyon Campus school.

Running games are still allowed as long as students don't chase each other, she said.

Fesgen said two parents complained to her about the ban but most parents and children didn't object.

Amen!

SB, Abigail, Owen Buck, CMT.

Public education seems to have been thoroughly undermined by
special interests hostile to Christianity these days.

...And talk about being politically incorrect, back in 1970's
American pubilc schools we used to play a game at noon recess
called "smear the queer", in which the kid who had the ball was
"the queer", and everone else had to "take him down". Though
the game was frowned-upon by our instructors they didn't meddle
in our affairs unless someone got hurt.

I got the wind knocked-out of me a couple of times but I also
got A LOT of excercise, chasing the other kids...and I dare
say it surely toughened-me-up quit a bit.

Having recently re-visited my old elementary school I was
astonished to notice that the tall slides, swings, and elaborate
monkeybars and merry-go-rounds had been replaced by what looked
like pathetic little hamster cages, with tiny but "safe" slides
and climbing apparatti.

Kids today may be having more "gadget-based" fun, but I pity
their lack of the physical fun my generation benefitted from.

Do you suppose that Cindy Fesgen might (mis)quote the Holy Scriptures where it says:

"(Touch not; taste not; handle not;..."
Colossians 2:21 ?

*NOTE: THEY'VE JUST ABOUT PERVERTED, MISQUOTED AND/OR MISAPPLIED THE HOLY WORD OF THE LIVING GOD; TO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION !

**DANGER: ESPECIALLY THE SATANIC-VATICANISTS/ROMAN "CATHOLIC" CULTISTS; WHO SAY THAT "COMMUNION" AND/OR "THE LORD'S SUPPER (TABLE)" SHOULD ONLY BE TAKEN "LITERALLY" (THE "TRANSUBSTANTIATION" HERESY) -- WHILE THE OTHER SCRIPTURES, THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN "LITERALLY", ARE TAKEN "FIGURATIVELY": TO THEIR OWN SATANIC-VATICANIST/ROMAN "CATHOLIC" CULTIC HELLISH DESTRUCTION ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I've heard it all...no tag????????

I grew up in the fifties and early sixties and we loved to play tag. The only sad thing was we had drugs in school. The 2 we had were bufferin and aspirin in the nurses office.

I feel awful for the people who have to send their children to public school today. They're one of the most ungodliest places I can think of! No prayer in school! Commonsense creation not being taught! No Bible reading [God's own rulebook meant for the good of humanity], being taught.

And no tag!!!!!!

I get sick to my stomach just reading this "no tag" situation.

What! No tag! Them's fighting words! I was a kid in the 70's to early 80's. We loved tag! We lived it and breathed it! They might as well say you can't be a kid! Oh! That's right! They learn about diversity now.
Occassionally they can ride a bike...but they must have the required apparel of body armor and a kevlar helmet!

And don't forget the "no prayer in school" but TM (transcendental meditation) and yoga are okay.

Your Post
Let's get this straight: No tag (it's dangerous), no "cowboys & Indians", (it's politically incorrect), no kissing of little girls (it's sexual harassment), no penknives, barlow knives, or buck knives, (they are lethal weapons), BUT we can teach them about sodomy as an alternative lifestyle, condom use as a way to engage in preteen sex safely, and offer them a $20,000.00 cash bonus to leave high school and go straight to Iraq to kill people whom we will let God sort out as to whether or not they were "bad guys", and maybe come home in a body bag before their 21st birthday."
_____________

Good Post!

You forgot to mention "No Bibles or New Testaments". Teaching children (Christian) religion is child abuse.

In the love of Jesus Christ our Lord
Abigail

Parents can always homeschool and let their kids play tag out in their own yards - that is until some wicked bureaucrat tells them they can't play it there either.
