Christians would rather move than hear evolution
Fifteen Christian families from a tiny community of only about 1,300 people are making plans to leave their homes and work behind so that their children will not be forced by the Canadian government to attend "sanctioned" schools where evolution is taught.

A report in the Vancouver Sun said provincial officials have threatened the families with legal action, including the potential loss of their children to state control, if they do not abide by the mandatory education curriculum.

But leaders of the Mennonite families say they'll leave Quebec before giving up their children to the state indoctrination. ...

Yes, Canada is depraved; however Quebec and Ontario more so than the rest.Unfortunately they have the most votes to elect those policticians that bring in all sorts of evil laws. Generally the farther west you go the less interference there is with how parents choose to educate their children. In Alberta there are Mennonite groups with their own schools, who have the freedom to teach their children as they wish. They pay their own way however, no government subsidies for them either. Our family took no money from the government while we homeschooled, so no one could tell us what to teach.

I used to be proud to be a Canadian. Now that I have grown up a bit, I can see it for the depraved country that it really is. 5 Churches in every town of 1000 people but no Christian authority. Something is seriously wrong. Welcome to Canada.

I can't help but wonder how much longer we will have "God keep our land glorious and free" in our national anthem.

Democratic freedom, and nanny government socialism, are not compatible. When the people demand protection from themselves(note Canadian gun laws) government will be there to tell them how, and require them to be safe in their own home. When people demand government care, government education, government security, government will be their inefficient provider, their children's teacher and indoctrinator, and their
security blanket. Just don't get out of the crib without permission.

Quote "But they didn't use the government-mandated curriculum that includes the teachings of evolution, and other subjects to which parents objected. So authorities warned the parents they would face legal proceedings if their children were not enrolled in "sanctioned" schools this fall."

= Obviously Canada does not now practice democratic freedom to Christians.
