Protestant Heads Still Committed to Dialogue Despite Vatican's 'One True Church' Claim
Following the quick response from the head of the world’s Reformed churches, more Protestant denominational heads have spoken out against the Vatican’s reassertion this week of the primacy of the Roman Catholic Church.

However, the leaders, although voicing disagreement with the Vatican, noted that the statement is nothing new.

“Similar statements and perspectives precipitated the 16th century Reformation nearly 500 years ago,” Dr. Gerald B. Kieschnick, president of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, said in a statement Thursday. “At that time Martin Luther said, ‘Popes and councils can err.’ Apparently that is still true today,” he added. ...

GG, "Sorry SB, but it would take a God to overcome ignorant, rabid, knee-jerk hatred of Rome."

What you aren't getting is that when a person is born of God, He gives them a holy hatred for sin and false teachings. The hatred that you call "rabid, knee-jerk" is actually a God given hatred for falsehood. I do not hate Roman Catholic people, I love them enough to tell them that their false religion is leading them to hell.

I do very much hate the false religion of Rome as well as the ecumenical Emerging Church, Charismatic movement, The New Age movement, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Islam, Hinduism, Buddism, and all other religion outside of true biblical Christianity. They are plunging people into an eternal hell.

"Besides 'Gathering' is Jesus' job, my job is to relate the truth and defend the Church."

If you're a true Christian, "your job"
is to warn this lost and hellbound world about their spiritual condition, and to tell them how to be saved from eternal death in hell. (Mark 16:15)

GG, you are scattering by promoting unbiblical teachings and falsehood.

Rome is calling her "seperated brethren" back "into" her church. Sadly many churches have fallen into the great apostacy of 1Timothy 4 and it will only get worse.

The hour is very late, Jesus Christ is coming soon! Even so, come Lord Jesus!!!

The Great Whore is just too seductive for these so called protestant spiritual fornicators! Even after the little ex Nazi tells them that outside of Rome they are walking damned, they still can't stay away from Babylon!

'Touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you! '

We are living in the midst of the great apostasy. Soon the Great King will return. Despite the tribulation that will fall upon us all I say, 'even so Lord Come!'

No unity dialogue from this Protestant. The pope has again written an anathema to himself with his boastful opinions about other churches outside of Rome's control(this has been going on since about A.D. 1054 and it's why most of the various Eastern Churches opted out of communion with the papacy). There should be no visible unity of Protestant churches and the Roman Catholic Church until the Roman Church agrees to the following:
1. Christ alone is head of His Church and every local congregational manifestation of His Church on earth.
2. That Faith Alone is sufficient to bring forth good works and save a soul from hell.
3. That Grace Alone through faith apart from works is what saves us. "By grace you have been saved...not of works."
4. That Scripture Alone is sufficient for the life of every individual Christian and local congregation.
5. That all aspects of salvation(deliverance from sin, justification, regeneration, transformation of a sinner) are to God's Glory Alone.

I agree with you, Seaton.

I see other false churches still want to do the tango with the Roman Catholic Church. True churches don't want unity with false ones like the RCC. "Reversing the Reformation," q.v.,

http://www.ihcc.org/images/booklets/pdf/L117.pdf

is not what a bible-believing church is suppose to be doing.

"In response, global Protestant church bodies – which have often held ecumenical meetings with the Catholic Church"

The TRUE Protestants - protest, they do not seek to join with the papal antichrist.

2Cor 6:14 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And WHAT CONCORD HATH CHRIST WITH BELIAL? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 WHEREFORE COME OUT from among them, and BE YE SEPARATE, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."
