ACLU Seeks to Censor Religious Content from Graduations
Seniors who are part of the graduating classes at six high schools within the Ouachita Parish School District, located in north Louisiana, have voted for fellow students to give a message during this week’s class graduation ceremonies – a decision that has put the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on guard.

The ACLU, an organization that provides legal assistance in cases in which it considers civil liberties to be at risk, has expressed its concern that the speakers will include religious themes and prayer within their presentations, and sent a letter last Tuesday to the district advising them to censor the speakers if this should arise.

Liberty Counsel, a nonprofit litigation dedicated to advancing religious freedom, has recently responded to the ACLU, saying that the students have a right to religious themes if they should choose to use them. As long as the school itself is not forcing ...

Anyone else notice the hypocrisy in the above statement? I guess to these bigots the religious have no civil liberties!

NO Rose Colored Glasses HERE

There are forces at work coming at us from all sides !!! SO MANY issues offering each its own separate and distinct degenerative affect on THE WELL ESTABLISH **FOUNDATIONAL TRUTHS** Upon Which This Republic Was So WISELY ERECTED

IT IS **THESE PRINCIPLED TRUTHS** WITH WHICH The Social Fabric Of This Great Experiment ARE SO **INTRICATELY INTERLACED** And THE INTEGRITY Of So Delicate A Fabric *IS DEPENDENT UPON* It Moving With TRUE TRAJECTORY As It Encapsulates And Embodies The Very Soul Of A Nation !!!

Anyone that is foolhardy enough to intertwine any of these *abrasive* and *corrosively destructive* threads [that are these many issues being introduced "For The Social Good of The People" so "they” say], is to **irreparably rend** The Fragile BALANCE Of THIS *WELL ESTABLISHED*, *TRIED* AND *TRUE* Social Fabric THAT HAS LONG BEEN *THE SAVING GRACE* And Heartbeat Of America.

To Ensure *TRUE SUCCESS*, That SUCCESS That Our Forefathers SO WISELY SET FORTH To SAFEGUARD NATIONAL MORALITY, "We The People" *DARE NOT* tamper with THE STABILITY Of THE BALANCES Of THE SCALES by applying every whimsical minded idea that men conjure in their own imaginings - For by so doing THE KILTER Of THE BALANCES IS thrown off Ushering In our SURE DEMISE.

FR, just in case you didn't notice, most of my post was from the scriptures. Also, Daniel was thrown to the lions for disobeying the government. I know God delivered him, but that didn't always happen. Read the faith chapter, Hebrews 11, and you'll see that. You said, "In time, the ACLU would simply dissolve". Your kidding, right? The world as a whole is growing to hate christians more and more. How about the fastest growing religion:Islam. Is that going to fade away too? You need to wake up and read ALL the counsel of God!

Jesus will reign until he has put ALL enemies under him. I imagine all includes the ACLU as well. Jesus rules the nations with a rod of iron, and he conquers with the sword out of his mouth (rev. 19)which is the word of God, along with the saints.
He has been ruling the nations for 2000 years, I don't think he is going to quit any time soon. There is still many enemies to be destroyed.

Thankfully Jesus said "all power in heaven and ON EARTH has been give to me".

Jesus has the dominion, and we rule and reingn with him.

Hey down there KK, I have never supported some of the things that are going on here in Canada; in fact I have been actively working against them. I have done more to oppose the liberal laws by working for the conservative party and writing letters than many folks; So PLEASE KK don't paint all of us the same way up here. Don't falsely accuse me of advocating liberalism either please.

As far as your own country, I sure hope you can right your ship. Because it is badly listing and sinking. Your country is no haven of angels; it is full of crime, shootings, millions of abortions, cities of gays, and legalized gambling is a way of life for millions. Pornography alcoholism, and drug addition in every direction. Divorce and domestic problems on every corner. So don't tell me your country is a model of righteousness KK. Take off your rose colored glasses and face the facts.

I am grieved the way our country is going; yours is no better. We are living in the last days; I don't think it is going to get any better until the Lord returns. So don't be suprised if it gets worse.

This has put the ACLU on guard ??? What a load of crap...

In America students HAVE THE RIGHT - UNLIKE Canada !!!

So hey Wayne M. from British Columbia, Canada --
maybe you people up there have accepted "HELL" as a way of life but here in America "We The People" ARE "One Nation Under God" -- it may not seem like it of late, but this teeter tottering ship IS ABOUT TO RIGHT ITSELF !!!

Granted, we are a people slow to HEAR, but unlike you there in Canada "We The People" ARE GOING TO ***TRUE Ourselves UP And REESTABLISH Our COURSE***

Unlike your country -- "We" ARE REMEMBERING **WHO WE ARE** !!!

We **ARE NOT** Going To Buy Into THE LIE of disunity and chaotic social fallout therewith -- as you Canads HAVE DONE !!!

Spare us your "DRIBBLE" -- as if what you've posted is meant to GUIDE us to the the grand "enlightenment?" toward a social system of debased immorality and THE SILENCING Of THE MORAL MAJORITY with hate crimes Laws that allow the twisted/demented few TO *DOMINATE* and *UNDERMINE* ALL THAT IS *DECENT* *JUST* *PURE* AND *TRUE*.

We WILL NOT sacrific POSTERITY as you Canads HAVE DONE !!!

"Dominion theology" or "Kingdom Now" theology may be the driving force behind the desire my some to set up a "theocracy" type of government. Here is how one website describes the movement.

"Dominion theology (the belief-system behind the Reconstructionist movement) teaches that through the coming of Christ the believer has dominion over every area of life. We are now in the Kingdom of God (note the similar view of the Kingdom that the Vineyard movement takes, as well as the plethora of Christian songs being written implying that we are in the Kingdom at the present time), and as a result, we should be reigning with Christ over the earth (as Rev. 5:10 says). The question is when will we reign. If the Kingdom is on earth now, then we should have dominion now, so say the Dominionists. Many of us non-reconstructionists proclaim this same thought when we sing the popular Charismatic song "Majesty" (written by hyper-charismatic Jack Hayford), which invites us to "Come glorify Christ Jesus, the King" -- after all, "Kingdom authority flows from His throne unto His own." With this authority from the King, we are to reclaim the earth for Christ, not just spiritually, but socially, economically, and politically."

But thankfully Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world.

"Maybe that sounds discriminatory or unkind, but some things which are beneficial to health, physical or spiritual, are often of such type."

You illustrate my point. This sounds like exactly the kind of justification one would expect to hear from the mouth of an inquisitor. You say imprisonment for these people is probably just fine. Are you really serious? You would send non-Christians to jail for the fact that they are not Christians? How is that any different from Spain of 1492 torturing and later ejecting Jews and Muslims for refusing to become Catholic? I don't see a difference in anything but degree of severity. Is that what Jesus meant when he told us to take the Gospel to the whole world? To me this just sounds like advocacy for a Christian version of Iran.

Spread the word, use the polls, etc. In time, the ACLU would simply dissolve(a lot of liberal churches are already on this trend, losing many members). Of course most aren't believing this way, but such must come to pass as the Bible says there would be apostacy. Imprisonment? Maybe. I'd certainly advocate such get no goverment financial support. They commit and promote that which sends people to hell. Maybe that sounds discriminatory or unkind, but some things which are beneficial to health, physical or spiritual, are often of such type.

As in the other ACLU related thread I have to ask: What do you mean they should be banned? Would you put them in jail for their political beliefs? Jail time for folks of a different religion maybe? What does banning the ACLU and other religions while officially promoting Christianity look like to you? That's not sarcasm by the way; I really want to know.

I go to the Bible for my views, CBC, including what I said below, and particularly the last sentence in my post below. Compare it to Daniel 3:29 and 30. That's where I stand on my socio-political views regarding this kind of battle. I"m not going to bow my knee to the religion of the ACLU. I'll seek to see that it is dissolved. One good way is to get the word out. The other way is to use political means---at the polls, etc.

I can't figure out where some of you folks are coming from. Nowhere does the Bible say that christians will save the day and christianize the world. jesus said that the world hated Him and that it will hate us also.. He said that we should expect persection and that all who live godly in Christ WILL suffer persecution. This notion that we will gain favor with the world is not only dead wrong scripturally, it is also deadly to our purpose, to preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified. If we are trying to "christianize" the world through lesgislation and propoganda, we are fighting the wrong battle. Jesus said we battle against spiritual wickedness in high places, not against flesh and blood. Read the Book folks! This isn't defeatest talking, it's biblical!

Now hold it here a sec. The ACLU wants to censor something? I thought that was contrary to the mission of the ACLU. But what can you expect from a bunch of blind living dead? Not much. The ACLU should be censored or banned. Logically, for the ACLU, censorship is wrong if it is contrary to the ACLU. Now that the ACLU wants to censor what is most likely Christian content, we see just where the ACLU stands and by what spirit and doctrine it is lead. They speak amiss of God and Christians and so should be banned and Christians promoted.
