WASHINGTON - Just hours after the White House issued a veto threat Thursday, the House voted to add gender and sexual orientation to the categories covered by federal hate crimes law.
The House legislation, passed 237-180, also makes it easier for federal law enforcement to take part in or assist local prosecutions involving bias-motivated attacks. Similar legislation is also moving through the Senate, setting the stage for another veto showdown with President Bush.
“This is an important vote of conscience, of a statement of what America is, a society that understands that we accept differences,” said House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md....
We are living in a very perilous times. It is a sad day when people act worse than animals and think they are the upper crust. Prophecy is being fulfilled.
"For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." We Christians must be sure that we are not guilty of any of these sins. If we have been guilty in the past, we must repent (turn from with exceeding sorrow) seeking forgiveness through the cleansing of the blood of Jesus Christ, seek to be filled with the Spirit, and seek to walk in the Spirit. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, but when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are to put off the old man (Adam nature) and put on Christ walking in newness of life.
Davey from Finland: I suspect that is the express intent behind this legislation from the beginning. Just as Lyndon Johnson crafted legislation to silence Pastors from any political speech from the pulpit (or face the wrath of the IRS). This legislation allows government to monitor all speech from the pulpit, and the public forum. If passed, then forums and sites such as this one will quickly be shut down for allowing any references to Leviticus 20 or Romans 1. It is not inconceivable that the Office of Homeland Security and the NIS would (if not already) monitor web traffic for key words such as "sodomite, abomination, sin, Romans:1, Leviticus, God's judgment" and the like. Free speech is only free if it conforms to government approved forms of speech. Like the frog in the pot we have been oblivious to the heat and what has been going on around us when it come to "tolerent" political correctness. Christians have been asleep inside the four walls of their guilded cages, and now we are seeing Christianity is not tolerated in the public square any longer. Now the social engineers are hatching a plot to get inside the church and regulate what is said there as well. Look at Canada, and the Netherlands (or was it Switzerland) to see what is coming. Judgment is just ahead.
Don't count on President Bush's veto. He has stated in the past regarding other hate crimes bills that he would support a "modified" hate crimes bill. We must move to kill it now by calling and e-mail our senators now to oppose S 1105.
Most Americans and most Christians fail to realize that the greatest concentration of sodomites and sexual perverts on the face of the earth is to be found within the three branches of American government. Hardly a member of Congress is not involved.

Not only is this STUPIDITY -- it is the implementation of "The Thought Police" and that is TYRANNY -- men pushing INDECENCY on the people and the *INNOCENT Minds* of Children.
If any of these candidates like OBOMA and H. CLINTON, etc... get into office -- you can kiss it all goodbye... they will lead this country straight down the slippery slope that ends in SHEOL.
Right now President Bush is the only thing STANDING in their way keeping them from legislating HELL'S LAWS...
