Study: U.S. Unchurched Population Nears 100 Million
Over the past decade, the unchurched population has remained stable at one third of the American population, the latest Barna Group survey showed.

The Barna study found that 33 percent of adults are classified as unchurched – people who have not attended a religious service of any type during the past six months. The statistic has remained relatively the same since 1994 when 36 percent were reported to be unchurched.

Still, the unchurched population in numbers is staggering. An estimated 73 million adults are presently unchurched. The number nears 100 million when teens and children are added to the population segment. That also includes an estimated 13 to 15 million born-again adults and children. On its own, the unchurched population of the United States would be the eleventh most-populated nation on earth, the Barna Group noted. ...

I was reading what you said about CHRIST and his brothers and sisters, and it came to mind about Mary.
The papish church don't tell their flock that her cousin Elisabeth might have actually have been her sister but they would rather lie about the LORDS brothers and sisters

But Hey
Good Job

Faithful Remnant
Lance might not tell you this but John Ankerberg is famous for first hand research. His book if I remember the title correctly 'Evangelicals and Catholics do the Two Now Agree' gives example upon example of what Roman Catholics believe and teach in their own words referrencing their own teachings and comparing them with Scripture.

You will notice this is something the Roman Catholic Religion simply does not do. They might reference their intrepretation of Scripture to support their beliefs but never reference Scripture and allow their teachings to be compared honestly with the Word of God.

For example Catholics teach Jesus brothers really mean cousins. If they were not His brothers and cousins why didn't God simply say that in His Word? Is God a liar? Is He incapable of stating the Truth clearly?

I am very much blessed by the testimony of Richard Bennett who as a devote Catholic priest when he compared what the religion he grew up in and gave his life to serve compared its teaches with the Scripture found to his heartache they were false but praise God that brought him to salvation and out of Catholicism.

Perhaps this is the kind of thing Lance as a devote Catholics dreads happening in the lives of his fellow Catholics.

"Forsake not the assembling...."

People are unchurched for a variety of reasons, but there's hardly an excuse not to attend worship.

John Yurich, you might be right, but you should attend a church which has Christ as its head and the Bible as containing all that is necessary. Lance, what's with Mr. Ankerberg? If he starts or helps establish a congregation based on the New Testament, who founded that church? How could it be Mr. Ankerberg? He didn't write the New Testament.

JY,
You sure about that? Seems like Satan love religion, false religion in all its various manifestations, especially the idolatry of Catholicism to which you have repeatedly told us that you so lovingly refuse to part with.

Lance,
What's the matter why should a member of the supposed one true church with its multiple millions be bothered with the ministry of an insignificant individual from Chattanooga, Tennessee? Does he expose your religion as false using your own Catholic teachings compared with what the Bible, the Word of God teaches?

Wow, Lance you just condemned the biggest Protestant denomination in the U.S., the Southern Baptists, but then condemn the biggest pagan organization in the U.S., the Roman Catholic Church.

These surveys are so bogus. Even if there was a legitimate way to equate ‘unchurched’ with ‘heathen’ or whatever they are trying to say … they are still basing their results on only 1 out of 100,000+ people. They only surveyed 2006 people! Reminds me of a Mark Twain quote about lies and statistics.

Where did the word, unchurched, come from anyway - Willow Creek?

And if someone who was a faithful attendee at the church of satan would they show up as ‘churched’ on the survey?

Bogus.

Did the report say anyone was going to test it but we know the papish church will milk it for all its worth, like all so called wonders in the papish church.
You know as well as I do that all of those weeping wonders have been fakes, and that goes for the blood on your alters
Like I have said before,it can't be the Blood of christ,as it will corrupt, and also HE is in heaven with HIS blood thought you as a "bible "reader would know that at least.

But Hey
Thats Why "ye must be born again"

Jim, I'm sure the only churched people in the USA are the handful who belong to the One True Church founded by John Ankerberg and his apostles.

The number given is way too low! You have to count all the Roman Catholics as unchurched also. Then you can add most of mainliners to that. I would say it would be surprising to find out if there were really 20 million "churched" in this country. By the way, John, have you read "Come Out of the Catholic Church," yet?

Those individuals who do not attend church are obviously being guided by Satan into thinking that this life is the only thing that is important and into thinking that the afterlife is of no consequence.

Well this is completely unacceptable.

You Americans are just not working hard enough.

Don't just sit there - get out there and start converting.
