WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 — A group of influential Christian conservatives and their allies emerged from a private meeting at a Florida resort this month dissatisfied with the Republican presidential field and uncertain where to turn.
The event was a meeting of the Council for National Policy, a secretive club whose few hundred members include Dr. James C. Dobson of Focus on the Family, the Rev. Jerry Falwell of Liberty University and Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform. Although little known outside the conservative movement, the council has become a pivotal stop for Republican presidential primary hopefuls, including George W. Bush on the eve of his 1999 primary campaign.
But in a stark shift from the group’s influence under President Bush, the group risks relegation to the margins. Many of the conservatives who attended the event, held at the beginning of the month at the Ritz-Carlton on...
My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but NOW is my kingdom not from hence.
That was before the resurrection and ascenssion. But things are different NOW.
Compare it to:
Acts 2:30...He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: “The LORD said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’
Question: Who is currently reigning over this earth?
"Mr. [Paul] Weyrich, a longtime member of the council, declined to discuss the group or its meetings. The council’s bylaws forbid members from publicly disclosing its membership or activities, and participants agreed to discuss the Amelia Island meeting only on the condition of anonymity."
Freemasons, Mormons, Satanists, and I assume, high level priests in the RCC, all honor secrecy.
Contrast this arrogance with John 1:
38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said unto them, What seek you? They said unto him, Rabbi (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher) where do you dwell?
39 He said unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
Psalm 39
5 Behold, you have made my days as a handbreadth; and my age is as nothing before you: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
6 Surely every man walks in a vain show: surely they are in termoil in vain: he heaps up riches, and knows not who shall gather them.
7 And now, Lord, what do I wait for? my hope is in you.
Once again Sermon Audios News Department gives a platform to so called christian leaders who don't meet the criteria to preach on Sermon Audio.Dr Dobson, Jerry Falwell, are cosigners of ECT Evangelicals And Catholics Together and are promoters of the Unity Movement which if anyone knows anything about it is a melding of all so called christians into one denomination. There are plenty of sermons by solid Men Of God who have preached against these wolves in sheeps clothing on Sermon Audio (look under Topics - Unity or Roman Catholicism for starters) Dr Cairns, Pastor Greer, Pasor Ivan Foster - he just preached against them this past Sunday and Richard Bennett and many other Free Presbyterians have come out against these New Age Ecumenical Evangelicals. There is something very wrong here the News Department gives a platform to Apostacy and far right wing Neo Conservatives but refuses to cover stories such as the Depleted Uranium Cancer causing fallout caused by our munitions in Iraq, the Deplorable conditions at Walter Reed, the blanketing of Lebanon with 35 Year Old US Vietnam Era Cluster Bombs by Israel knowing many civilians primarily children would be killed by duds - it is now a daily occurence, or any stories critical of President Bush who himself embraces New Age Ecumenicalism
Take a look at the key member s, and two of them will strike you as being more about politics than christianity. Dobson and Falwell both are looking to make America (through the Republican party) a christian nation. If they would apend their millions on sharing the gospel and preparing folks to preach the gospel, they would be much further ahead.
