Evangelical bishop opposes display of 'early human fossils'
NAIROBI, Kenya -- Deep in the dusty, unlit corridors of Kenya's national museum, locked away in a plain-looking cabinet, is one of mankind's oldest relics: Turkana Boy, as he is known, the most complete skeleton of a prehistoric human ever found.
But his first public display later this year is at the heart of a growing storm pitting scientists against Kenya's powerful and popular evangelical Christian movement. The evolution vs. creationism debate has arrived in a country known as the cradle of mankind....
Not just evolution is unproven. All scientific theories, even ones testable in the present, are unproven, for no amount of "successful" experimentation can confirm a universal proposition as true. I used quotes above because even the experimental method is logically flawed. If it worked, why would experiments need repetition? Why the arbitrary statistical manipulation to get the data to fit the equation? Because the data is uncertain and the equation is chosen, not discovered!
Example: the law of the pendulum only works with pendulums which don't physically exist. Same goes for all the other laws of physics like the laws of motion. That they "work" and we can use them to build useful gadgets isn't good enough reason to call them true.
Even thoughtful atheists have recognized this basic flaw in science. It's time Christians noticed.
Simply put, evolution has not been proven. Therefore, it is, by definition, a theory.
The theory of relativity as it pertains to the speed of light was originally a theory - as it should have been. But, not long ago, it was accepted as a "scientific fact" - based on the assumption that the speed of light being constant. Now, scientists have supposedly proven that the speed of light is NOT constant. So, the "fact" has once again become theory.
"Man's arrogance will ultimately become his downfall."
Perhaps they think "yom" the Hebrew word for day is pronounced- yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom?
Each day of creation was NOT a thousand years. We have a week, with 7 days, not 7 thousand days. The day of rest is one day, BASED upon the 1 day God rested. We do not rest for a thousand days...
If one says that each day of creation was 1 thousand years, then who is to say it could have been 1 million years?? This just leads to the long earth theory, which is contrary to the literal reading of Genesis.
