Ohio Man Found Dead With Pet Boa Constrictor Wrapped Around His Neck
CINCINNATI â A 13-foot boa constrictor wrapped itself around its owner's neck and killed the man in his home, authorities said.
An acquaintance found Ted Dres, 48, inside the snake's cage Saturday and called police, the Hamilton County Sheriff's office said.
The snake was still strangling Dres when deputies arrived, and the officers had to work with members of an animal protection group to remove the reptile, the sheriff's office said.
"People who keep these type of animals as pets should know exactly what they're doing and what they're capable of," Mahlman said....
That's nasty.... had my share of snake bites but being strangled is something else!
You'd think the guy could have done something but apparently not.... or maybe he was too worried about hurting the snake like the Sheriffs officers were.
Each snake has it's own personality so saying that 'this breed is tame and that breed is dangerous' is a fallacy. Sadly they tend to get grumpier and nastier as they age, like many humans.
He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

I guess if the guy was already dead there was no rush to remove the snake, otherwise they should've just cut the thing off of him. It's just a snake, for crying out loud!
