SERMONAUDIO TIP
Copying Content to Your Zune, iPod, or Portable Player
Attention Portable Media Player Owners!

The sermons on SermonAudio can be enjoyed in a variety of ways: with a PC using your browser, podcasting on-the-go with portable MP3 players, iPhones, Androids, BlackBerry, and other mobile phones.

We have written this tip to help you understand how you can make the most out of SermonAudio with these next-generation media players.

MP3 audio sermons.

First of all, some basics. All of the 300,000+ audio sermons found on SermonAudio are encoded in the popular MP3 format that are playable on most portable players. All sermons that are uploaded to SermonAudio are automatically tagged with brief sermon details (title, speaker, church, date preached, etc) embedded in the MP3 file itself so you can see the sermon info on your MP3 player (shown).

Whether you use a portable media player or simply a regular MP3 player, we highly recommend that you listen to sermons on-the-go as a wonderful way to make use of your time while stuck in traffic!

Video support.

Some time ago, we launched our official support for VIDEO on SermonAudio. To browse through our growing library of videos that you can freely download and stream, please visit our Video Section on the site.

All video on SermonAudio is encoded in the industry-standard MP4 (H.264+AAC) video format which makes it possible to enjoy your videos via video podcasting on portable media players. Videos are also available for easy-embedding on other websites!

We hope you will continue to enjoy the many new enhancements and features to the site as we constantly strive to provide the ultimate site experience. More to come in the days ahead!

God work within our hearts, souls and minds and allow us through a humble position, accomplishing your word 100%. No, we don't need to attack our brothers, we only want to put them on the right path by your mercy and assistance; without You Lord, we won't be able to do so. Encouragement needs to be part of our brotherhood. In your name Lord God: Father, Son and Holly Spirit! AMEN!

well buying a zune was a matter of cost. the ipod was too much for the size the zune could offer me. not knowing what you all are talking about does not affect why I bought a zune. I got it for 80$ new from wal mart. it a matter of affording an ipod. I just want to enjoy the message of God.

Thank you

Thanks for your stand and I agree that we should use our time wisely.I don't have a television in my house, but I do pay for cable internet access from the same television provider. Can I avoid it?Sure,I could get internet access from the phone company who owns the majority of the internet pipelines in the US--pipelines that provide pornographic hosting.I agree that we need to be careful with our money and our time. However,we also live in evil days where it is impossible to not give some substance to evil in some way.Isn't that the nature of sin? When Jesus commanded us to go out into the highways and hedges, did he tell us to make sure that no evil travelled on those highways before we went down them?I believe he said that we should go out INTO the sinful world and preach the gospel. No,we shouldn't love the world or become like the world, but it is impossible to go into the world without brushing into evil. When Jesus was in a crowd full of people, not all of them believed in Him.He was brushing up against the unsaved as well as the believers. This is evidenced by the fact that one believing woman with an issue of blood took virtue from Him and He noticed. We will brush with evil as little as possible and hope that someone takes the Lord's virtue from us in the form of the Gospel.

Whilst agreeing with Tobin it is a fact that a believer has a choice is it not? What is the correct motivation in making any choice 'whatsoever you do do all to the glory of God'

Believers disagree on many things and often with a strange unbiblical view. An example is TV. It would be very straightforward to prove that there is very little of substance on UK TV. Is the BBC a godly channel where the gospel is sounded forth or can it stand for BOLDLY BLASPHEMING CHRIST? Should we buy a TV license and support an organisation that promotes and produces filth with our money? What does the scripture say about the use of our money? Strangely the majority of christians do support the BBC by purchasing a TV license. Nothing wrong with the TV set but plenty wrong with the BBC and the other channels! Is there something wrong in promoting SIN with your money?

Why give up your favourite TV sports and entertainment programmes when there is so much more time to pray , read the bible, do gospel work, PROMOTE CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOUR? I guess you know what God says about using our time? The scripture that Christ may return any hour is a real motivation?

Just a new year thought for us UK Christians...still resolute in the defence of the gospel of Christ

I understand your desire to come out from among the world and be seperate. That said, buying a Zune does not make you Love the world. Do you drive a car and use oil that support the Children of Edom? Do you shop at Wal-mart which buys a large amount of goods from China -- a country that heavily restricts the preaching of the Word of God? How far do you want to take this? In many states, property taxes are used, in part, to pay for ungodly programs.Does that mean you shouldn't buy a house or car? Your grocery store makes money off of magazines that are not fit for Christian eyes. Should you stop shopping for groceries and grow all of your own? Even Jesus sat with sinners and publicans and protected a harlot who the pharasies wanted to stone. Jesus obviously didn't give money to support their sinful ways, and I wouldn't suggest that He would have. However, we know He had contact with sinners which had benefit to them either through salvation or otherwise. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. Let's not be so quick to attack a brother with a moat in his eye when you may have a beam in your own. Encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ, but don't attack them

Well, JVSA, before slamming Brother McMahan, might I suggest that you do your homework on the origins and the people who engage in the secular rock music world before making uneducated comments like this.

1 John 2:15-16 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

@ Scott McMahan

To say "Christians" should not buy Zune b/c it supports secular rock is a ridiculous statement. Maybe you should look up "Christian" in your Bible concordance. I agree, some secular music is filth. You make the assumption that it all is and it none of it should be supported. As a Christian, I enjoy multiple secular rock bands. Some even motivate me to live a good life, and a few bring me connect me with God.

I've been ID3 tagging all the files that I've downloaded so far, even though I play them on my laptop. The problem is that Realplayer and iTunes use different protocols when inserting the info. My biggest beef is neither one has a field where the date can be inserted in a date-like format. I use the comment field for the date (YYYY-MM-DD). I prefer Realplayer when editing tags, because I can genere it as speech, then sub-genere it as sermons. (iTunes doesn't have sub-genres) I also insert a pic of the preacher to the tag. I would dearly love it if all broadcasters would uniformly tag their sermons with the text preached from into the album info field.

As an aside my DVD player at home also plays MP3 files, and I'm able to see artist (preacher), title and album info on the TV screen. I sure enjoy this type of detail.

God blessings to you all. I have been blessed with the availablity of all these sermons.

"the new Zune player by Microsoft" - Christians should NOT buy this device - part of the purchase price goes to pay the secular rock music media! Even if you do not listen to their filth! Read up on this before purchasing and consider another brand.
