There are two great debates under the broad heading of Science vs. God. The more familiar over the past few years is the narrower of the two: Can Darwinian evolution withstand the criticisms of Christians who believe that it contradicts the creation account in the Book of Genesis? In recent years, creationism took on new currency as the spiritual progenitor of "intelligent design" (I.D.), a scientifically worded attempt to show that blanks in the evolutionary narrative are more meaningful than its very convincing totality. That's why I want to read the article, but really don't want to buy it and pay to support them. God isn't opposed to science. REAL science points TO God. Its the naturalistic, Darwinian-based mumbo-jumbo that is "vs." God.

But adding these to scripture is equal to calling God a liar. God said this was done in one day, not millions and millions of years. Precisely, He said this was done on day six, the day Adam was created. Adam then lived the rest of day six, through day seven and further into the creation. God then says Adam lived 930 years. If each day were millions of years, God lied. Even if they were 1000 years (which still doesn't allow for evolution), God lied. Finally, god said He created man at the BEGINNING. There can never truly be an instance where God is contending with real Science. For the simple fact that real science is the discovery of the method that God chose to create the universe. When men who don't understand God's ways, attack science for not being true to the Bible or when Scientists cause rifts against God because of their ignorance of his hand in creation, neither Faith nor Science is ultimately served. People of faith must admit that when the bible says that man was made from the dust, that there could be millions of years and lots of process that we don't know about, in those words. People of Science must realize that all knowledge cannot be tested and some truths are beyond provability.
