Attention all broadcasters!We are happy to announce that we have finally completed support for scheduled events on SermonAudio! Now you can separately post upcoming special events of meetings, youth camps, seminars, and other activities with the option of accepting online registrations and even online payments!
Event-Specific Details.
You can specify details that are particular to each event such as the event date (and if it's a multi-day event), event time, event cost with foreign currency support, online registration and payment including credit cards + PayPal support, location information with support for a Google Map link, and specifically WHO the event is applicable to.
Other features include the ability to conveniently attach events to BLOG entries via the "Blog-This!" facility so that periodically you could post a blog to "remind" folks of the upcoming event—or to provide additional event-related details. 
A welcome addition includes an Add-To-Outlook-Calendar button that allows you to quickly add the event to your personal calendaring application (any that supports the standard iCal format).
New Event Manager Section.
A new section called the Event Manager has been created on the site toolbar to browse all events across all broadcasters and to provide maximum exposure for your church's events! A small star 
will appear on the toolbar indicating that an event is taking place today.
In addition, every broadcaster homepage now has a new section called simply Events where you can create/view all events for your own church. All calendar boxes on both the broadcaster homepages as well as the Main Page have also been updated to reflect upcoming events. Be sure to also check out the updated HTML Code for the calendar box as it includes support for upcoming events!
Online Registrations. Online Payments.
You can easily accept online registrations for events by simply selecting the "Accept Online Registrations" option on any event. Here's how it works. Based on the "category-type" of the event (ie: Camp, Seminar, Mission Trip, etc), the system will automatically present the appropriate fields in the registration form that are likely to be associated with that event category. Once the visitor fills out the form, an automatic email notification will be sent to both the visitor and to the broadcaster with the registration details.
If there is a cost associated with the event, the system will present the visitor with payment options after they fill out the registration form. If PayPal is selected as one of the acceptable payment methods of the event, visitors can make their payment online right away with any major credit card or with their PayPal account!
Members Only Area Stats.
There is additional event-related statistics and reports available in the Members Only Area which includes printing an "attendance sheet" style report for those who registered for events in both printable and "raw-text" formats.
Live Webcast Integration!
An important feature of our Events Manager is the ability to seamlessly integrate with the live webcasting solution on the site. By simply selecting the "Live Webcast" option in the event details, your event will automatically be included in the Live Webcast Schedule as well as its details being linked to the webcast when it is in progress.
Another important feature in connection with live webcasts is the ability now to supply a date range for your event … thus avoiding having to post a separate BLOG entry for each webcast day. Please note that you can still use the BLOG feature to describe webcast events and blog posts will take precedence over the Events Manager when describing the same webcast event.
View Local Upcoming Events! New!
The Event Manager now supports an extra tab called "Local Events" which when clicked will show only the upcoming events within a certain mile-radius of the ZIP code you specified when you signed up for the weekly newsletter. It will show you the distance in miles for each event so you can quickly see the events that you would be most able to attend. Click here for more information..
