Islam in Europe: Muslims, Christian couples
LONDON — It took ten years for Shafiq and Sarah to decide to get married. The two met through friends while in college and developed a close friendship. But their respective religions — Shafiq is Muslim and Sarah is an evangelical Christian — held the pair back from romantic involvement.

“It took a long, long time because we both had our faiths and we had to reconcile that,” said the London-born Shafiq, whose parents came to England in the 1960s from Pakistan.

As Muslims become more integrated in the West, marriage to people of other faiths is becoming more commonplace. Nowhere is this more true than in London, perhaps the most cosmopolitan European capital. Muslims make up about 8 percent of the city’s population and neighborhoods are renowned for their diversity.

The 1960s and 70s Britain saw an influx of immigrants — a majority of whom were from South Asia – and their children attended ...

i seen this unequal yoke trend as many are ordered in the mosgues/masjid to intermarry with Christian women to try to revert them back to islam ..
i always wondered why not many christian read the Bible and heed the warning about being unequally yoked with unbelievers in 2 Corinthians 6

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

This is propaganda for Satan.
Encourage those raised with "Christian" influence in their lives to join with a damnable counterfeit religion and make it appear this this such a wonderful thing to make peace on earth.

Dear Mark M,
It wasn't the feminine power that brought Solomon down, it was sin. I have known too many "good" girls who have been brought down by ungodly men.

If Sarah had known Shafiq for ten years and he's still muslim, I wonder just how "evangelical" she is.

In any case, let's hope that he receives Jesus and puts away his religion of works. It is possible.

Quote "I don't think that the girl will lose her salvation over this"

I'm sure she won't - no saved Christian would ever do this in the first place.

Can't lose what you don't have.

Mark M,
Learn from Jim's quote here:

One should never ever, marry an unbeliever!

2Corinthians 6
15 and what consent of Christ with Beliar, or what part for a believer along with an unbeliever?

One should think seriously about tying the knot or not.

It is interesting the Vatican is even getting worked up about the Muslims in Europe, finally! It should be noted that a Muslim cannot convert to Christianity on pain of death in an Islamic country.

I don't think that the girl will lose her salvation over this, the ball is in her court so to speak, but God's warning is plain. Maybe we will get lucky and she will convert the man to the winning team. I was just reading about Solomon, the wisest man in history, being led astray by too many foreign spouses and their gods, maybe this girl can use her feminine powers for the good guys for a change.

Sarah, you are quite right..... things will get really complicated if they have children

But what is "whallah"?? Fuelling the French Canadian rift here?

The passage quoted by 'bible she say' is referring to women who convert to Christianity after marriage. It is an abomination for a Christian to marry an infidel.

That girl is if she is truly a christian, has just fallen for the biggest and most common lie of the devil.
Either first of all, she will forsake any faith in Jesus she has left, secondly, i wont give it too long afterwards before shafiq and his family will be enticing her to join the muslim faith ...and whallah, another silly western woman snared. Their offspring will be as islamic tradition follows..They will be muslims.
She is just setting herself up for nothing but pain and sorrows.

Is anyone truly surprised? If Biblical doctrine is discarded as divisive and absolute truth is denied, what is there that is not permissable for Christians?

I agree with you siteseer. Also, I might add it is rightous to divorce if, and the second verse was not quoted earlier,

15 But if the unbeliever go away, let them go away; a brother or a sister is not bound in such [cases], but God has called us in peace.

One should never ever, marry an unbeliever!

Bible she say........
Corinthians 7:13/14 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

"....and Sarah is an evangelical Christian ..."

Funny how so many people think they know what this term "evangelical" means yet don't live up to the Truth.

I wouldn`t wish to spoil two young lovers happiness but If Sarah professes to be an "Evangelical Christian", Is she choosing to ignore the warning in 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
