As for the above article, without a doubt it proves that Zawahiri is a kind hearted man who wants to protect Americans.I also have been involved in dispersing hydrogen sulphide gasses in the subway and in elevators and it is clear that other passengers find it uncomfortable and seek to move away from me. If you stole something from your neighbor, you have transgressed one of God's commandments. Before you seek God's forgiveness you must first be reconciled with your neighbor (restitution, expression of sorrow, etc.). Your neighbor can forgive you for what you did to him (or not) but he can't forgive you for transgressing God's law. It is God who heals the transgressor and not man and only after reconciliation is made.
In Sarah's case, she expressed a sin of conscience. It is up to her to determine if she needs to be reconciled with anyone besides God and if so, make that reconciliation first. Based on her brief post, I doubt that is the case.
Hey Lurker! If she doesn't have to "confess her weakness to any man because man can't forgive sin," than why does the bible say to "confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed?"

The fact that you know you are not right with God is a good sign. You don't need to confess your weakness to any man because man can't forgive sin. But you do need to be honest with God because it is He, through His Holy Spirit, who is convicting you of this sin. You may not be able to overcome this weakness of your own ability but if you ask God to forgive you and help you overcome, He will hear. God is merciful and forgave David of murder and adultery. Surely He will forgive you if you seek His will in your life with a humble heart. But understand that God will point you in the right direction but you still must do the hard work. Any addiction is hard to overcome and it's not going to be easy. But if you love God you must obey His voice.
