Light at end of the tunnel over near death experiences
Some describe a journey along a tunnel towards a light. Many say the light exudes warmth and forgiveness. Others report that gazing down on themselves in an operating theatre made them certain of life after death.
Throughout history, there have been accounts of people experiencing visions on the brink of death, what are now called near-death experiences. There are dozens of books and films on the subject, even a Journal of Near Death Studies in America, and a conference planned this October in Houston, Texas.
Today, new evidence is published that backs the idea that the near-death experience is a biological experience, rather than anything to do with a larger, spiritual dimension, a glimpse of heaven, or the existence of the soul....
Just because the government says you can do it, doesn't mean that God says you can do it - e.g.fornication, adulteries, homosexual acts, homosexual marriages and civil partnerships, abortions, blasphemous masses.
Why would it take Jesus till the end of time to recognize that he is my Lord and my God? It's the little tin gods like youself that attempt to pummel the people into error thru coersion. Is it also your intent to take away the basic human right to worship God as each man sees fit? Perhaps another Reformation is needed to free us from your grasp?
No kn...I've always known where I live. I live in a country where I have the freedom to worship as I see fit. And this right was given to me by Protestants, Catholics and unbelievers too. As long as I can breath I will thank God and feel proud of those men for what they did. April 21st was Texas Independence day. Long live Texas.
J. Young from Denver -- Most people on this forum know not to name-call.
Exposing the works of darkness is one thing.
Calling posters stupid and ugly names is something else entirely. Like witch, jezebel, harlot on the beast, Satanic, liar, racist bigot -- all names I've been called here, but usually not by Christians. There's one person who posts regularly here who doesn't like women much and likes to call me a liar and worse, claims to be a born again Christian, a Baptist. I question both.
Some names are just labels -- like "Catholic." If anyone called me a Catholic, I'd be insulted.
TLC, a/k/a the Jesuit Spammer comes on here impersonating a student of Jack Chick and Alberto Rivera and spams, name-calls, uses profanity, and puts up duplicate, incoherent postings to try to incite hatred against Independent Baptists and Jack Chick and Alberto Rivera.
The Catholics come on and cut and paste, and name-call, think they're being really clever by doing so.
Most people are Christians here and don't use profanity or name-call. You have to expect the vitriol against Christians by those who are not.
Jesus spoke gracious words. There also is alot about edifying words and kind words.
I really do not see how "Idiots" qualifies. Discuss the merits of a topic all you like, but you are not controlled by the Spirit when arrogant, hateful words come out of your mouth, revealing the state of your heart.
Note the real mockers mock the Scriptures (whatever their claims to defend the Authorised Version).
The Bible itself mocks those who have false religion:- "And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked."
The word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ is sufficient for us. Thanks be to God.
One thing I do know is that so called "Near death experience" is not some peek into the kingdom of God. The only guy privileged to do that recorded it in the Bible.
The great problem with this out of body experience malarky, is the return of the spirit/soul whatever, to the carnal flesh, if and when it did return to the body of iniquity. When it did return it would find the explanation for it's experience there in the sinful flesh.
Revelations made manifest to select mortals are not accidental events.
Look for your revelations in Scripture not in dreams and symbolic allegories.
Next you'll be telling us that the Lord pops down to celebrate mass with you in presence. Or that speaking in tongues is for today also.????
"*NOTE: To ALL YOU IDIOTS WHO ARE MOCKING NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES -- YOU CAN NOT EVER/COULD NOT EVER FATHOM AN OUNCE OF THE TRUTH THAN IS CONTAINED IN THE CLINICAL/DOCUMENTED ACCOUNTS OF NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES."
Dr. Rawlings, in his book BEYOND DEATH'S DOOR, documents many experiences of clinically resusitating people who were dying AND GOING TO HELL; as well as clinically resusitating people who were dying AND GOING TO HEAVEN.
[IT'S INTERESTING TO NOTE THAT DR. RAWLINGS NEVER CLINICALLY RESUSITATED ANYONE WHO DIED AND WENT TO "PURGATORY" OR "LIMBO" -- AS SUCH SATANIC-VATICANIST INVENTIONS/"PLACES" DO NOT EXIST !]
IT WOULD DO ALL WELL TO READ HIS BOOK: "BEYOND DEATH'S DOOR".
