Traditionalist Canon Webster's attack was written before the installation and appears in the 2006 edition of the Church of England Year Book.
Rev John Hartley of St Luke's Church, Eccleshill, in Bradford, is a "moderniser" well known for adapting popular music for hymns. His latest offering is a version of the Doors classic Light My Fire, while previous hits include a version of the Star Wars theme and Match of the Day.
