The next major version of Windows has officially been named on Microsoft.com. The below is an extract from their site:

Bill from Seattle -- I am almost curious about your last name ;-) -- I suppose I have it on, though I have no intention of replacing Windows 98 on any computers, because I have too many old programs that probably that will never run on Windows XP. Ideas may get some new programs that won't run on Windows 98. I see you have to be really lucky to get rid of Windows XP completely. I put one copy on a fat 32, and decided that is a better to put it on a much larger NTFS partition on the same computer. It doesn't want to get rid of the original installation. I suppose if I erased the whole hard drive and started over, I could be a rid of it. Linux stuff is progressing reasonably fast that perhaps lacking get rid of Windows of all types in a couple of years, hopefully.

The NTFS as a high understand it, did copy ideas from Unix systems.

Gee, Jim, you blame microsoft for your problems, but it looks like you're having your own problems getting the paste key to work. (You only need to hit Shift-Insert once)

Yes, Neil, something like Edsel. ;-) just today, I put Windows XP onto a computer. I found out it wouldn't update my Windows 98 S. E. operating system. I am not sure what I'm going to do with it. I probably have to keep around, because there'll probably be some programs that will run on it but not 98.

I.e. do not nowhere I saw it, but I see Microsoft is helping the Communist Chinese to filter out democratic words and sites. I have to work harder with other operating systems to get the programs that run on Windows to run on something else.Yes, Neil, something like Edsel. ;-) just today, I put Windows XP onto a computer.
