Youngsters rejecting Christianity for occult

Jason perfects his craft by reading books on the subject like these – A complete Guide to Magic and Rituals and Practical Candle Burning Rituals.

AT AGE 11, he cast his first spell. Now at 18 years old, Jason (not his real name) professes to be a practising witch.

It is the latest craze among teenagers not only in the United States and Europe but also right here in Barbados. Jason is just one of a growing number of youngsters who has rejected Christianity and is embracing witchcraft as a way of life.

They cast spells to pass exams, predict the future by communicating with the spirit world and even place curses on others. If you think your son or daughter could never be one of them, think again.

Most of the teenagers in Jason's circle of friends have parents who are devout Christians and who have no idea of what they're up to. ...

We have an awesome God! I entered the New Age movement as a child (as that is what my parents did) but God gently brought me back into His fold. Today I am VERY grateful. My story should interest you. Read The Opening Window at http://www.joyfulchristianliving.com/jesus.htm. No charge.

God has given me many miracles and He has pulled the towers that I have built from my mind (as we weed a garden).

I could write about this subject for quite some time but I will try to keep this short. I grew up a Christian and at around age 20 I became interested in the occult for the exact same reasons this young man stated.

Later on I went so far as to join a pagan order and explore the occult further. Never ONCE in all that time did I feel or experience anything that has moved me like the Holy Spirit. It did not take me long to realize that I could not even force myself to abandon Christ and TRULY believe in any other god. I rededicated my life to Christ and have now dedicated my life's work to His ministry.

I urge anyone who seeks the occult to have "more freedom" to realize that you are only hiding from your sin and seeking a false religion that "allows" you to live freely in your sin. What you are trying to escape from is simply God's ability to forgive you. You can never escape God's ability to forgive. I pray for you that you are granted the wisdom to realize that true freedom will only come from Jesus Christ. What you are wanting is freedom to sin , what you need to worry about is eternal freedom in God's kingdom. This life we live, regardless of how "free" you feel is but a spec on the board in the grand scheme of eternity. Please make eternity your focus and not the spec.

Congratulations all you Christians who believe in freedom of the press and freedom of religion. Occult literature should be outlawed and these wicked deceivers silenced, if for no other reason than to protect our youth from temptation. How long will God's people stand by and watch our young men eaten like bread by the wicked, the perverted, Idolaters, whoremongers, wizards, witches, heretics and blasphemers all in the name of freedom? Think about it, do you believe in original sin and Satan? Do you believe that Christians are salt and light? Salt overcomes bacteria by destroying it, light overwhelms darkness by eliminating it. God has told us that the civil magistrate is to reward those who do good and punish those who do evil. The question is, who defines good and evil for the magistrate. Woe to any person who says anyone but the Lord himself.
