It is a sad state of affairs when the church of Christ has to now compromise with the world's way of doing things. What ever happened to accountability, church discipline and discipling our members when they need to be ministered to the most. Now we have drive-thru services added to the menu of the seeker-friendly buffet without the meat of the word of God (Hebrews 5:13-14). I pray that we as true believers of the gospel do not compromise the teachings of our Lord and the apostles for a "new" way of bringing sinners to Christ. If they [sinners] won't come to church, powerpoint sermons, concerts, stage plays, cool music, and funny stories won't help---they're DEAD, remember! (Jn. 3:3). And unless or until God by His own sovereign act of grace permits them to be born again whereby they can repent and believe the gospel, NONE of our new found ideas of "evangelism" will glorify God in bringing His sheep into His fold. May God help us to remain faithful to His way of doing things.
Not much new in doing this -- I think Schuller used an outdoor theater and preached from a pickup truck when he got started? Scripture can only be handled superficially in five minutes. It looks like the relevant sermons -- are relevant. It looks like there are some good ones to listen to.
