To Robert Ziegler, his future as a public school teacher came down to a choice: Follow man's law or follow God's law.
At a hearing Tuesday night that would decide whether he kept his teaching job at Papillion-La Vista High School, Ziegler, 24, testified that God's law was chiseled in his heart and he felt obliged to spread the word.
Papillion-La Vista school district administrators testified that they repeatedly told him his actions constituted a violation of the separation of church and state and that he repeatedly disobeyed their orders to stop preaching and start teaching.
