Bob Jones Sees Bush Win As 'Reprieve'
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Bob Jones III, president of the fundamentalist college that bears his name, has told President Bush he should use his electoral mandate to appoint conservative judges and approve legislation "defined by biblical norm."

"In your re-election, God has graciously granted America — though she doesn't deserve it — a reprieve from the agenda of paganism," Jones wrote Bush in a congratulatory letter posted on the university's Web site.

"You have been given a mandate. ... Put your agenda on the front burner and let it boil. You owe the liberals nothing. They despise you because they despise your Christ," said the letter, dated Nov. 3.

A White House spokesman said he didn't know whether the president had seen the letter. ...

GG and truth?

GG - you are the one who has attacked the right to anonymity on this website.

I have consistently defended it.

Since the point you finally admitted your 'change of mind' in the matter (shame you stopped short of calling it hypocrisy) I have never posted your (presumably) real name again.

RGS: How about...because its the truth. Here is some advise. Please don't use your real name on this line, because certain people without conscience (Walt,Anon33k) will try to blast it all over creation to intimidate or cause you to be at risk to online nuts.

***** Attention: The monitors of this site should "Take Note" that using peoples real names is risky and should be stopped before someone gets hurt.

Amen, Jim from Nebraska, you are right on. How can anyone in our churches think that a Catholic is a Christian. Our churches have gotten so far away from sound doctrine that it is hard to believe. All they have to do is check out what they the Catholic's believe and they will stop that stuff. Of course, the world is heading toward people who can not endure sound doctrine and balance it out with love. It's a hard thing to do unless we are filled with the Holy Spirit. We all need help from God and lots of it.

"Jim: What is this nonsense that the Pope is a pagan?"
I would agree with you John, the Pope is a heretic of the worst kind, not a pagan, pagan is too soft for his kind!

GG, you know the pope loves people to bow down and kiss his big ring finger buddy! In contrast, whenever anybody saw an angel in the bible and threw themselves to the ground in their presence, the angel rebuked them saying "see that you do not do that, for I am a fellow laborer, worship God and him alone"

Quit spreading your lies and attempting to downplay romes idolatry you devil, the Lord Rebuke you!

Jim: What is this nonsense that the Pope is a pagan? The definition of a pagan is someone that does not believe the historic doctrines of Christianity like the Bible is the Word of God, the Holy Trinity, the Deity of Christ, the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The Catholic Church is not a pagan institution because it believes in the historic doctrines of Christianity.

I and others appreciate you thoughtful comments, A Believer. ---Hun

Sorry, G. G., that you feel that way, I would suggest you look at:

www.ianpaisley.org

and see that the Catholic Church is an apostate church. You seem to have ignored the truth spoken by others, such as Albert, who has too much contact with the RCC, probably as far as he is concerned.

Of course, my pastor's booklet on the ECT should be a considerable amount of warning also:

http://www.ihcc.org/sw_index.php?id=booklet_desc&item_id=wuEfdXYGhBo0dBMDd496zS58g

Ian Paisley's site should have many good sermons on SermonAudio about Catholicism also.

"A ... spokesman said he didn't know whether the President had seen the letter." This shows how seriously BJ3's exhortation was taken at the White House - into the round file.

Wheaton has no dealings with Greenville.

Jim, I concur. Even Ian Paisley of the Free Presbyterian Church expressed his joy and adulation that Bush was elected President, choosing to ignore Bush's worship of the Roman Church and his tickets catering to homosexuals inside and out of the republican party. Goes to show that your trust has to be in God and not man, because no matter how spiritually they may appear outwardly that are on their best day (as we all are) sin-tainted men.

As for Bob Jones, there has always been room for improvement. This is the same organization that advanced the idea of separation of the races, including the barring of interacial marriage and dating, something contrary to the Word of God. The organization's erroneous position was that those things could be found and supported in the Word of God.

I do not understand Bob Jones' letter. He is recognized as a well-known Christian, and the school he heads as a great Christian university. However, all should remember how Bush let itself as the head of our country, to be rebuked, by one of the leading pagans in the world, Pope John Paul II. One can't expect much control of paganism in this country, when so many Republican politicians belong to the Catholic church. :-(
