PHOTO MOMENT Tiniest Surviving Baby in Medical History
Madeline Mann is seen shortly after her birth in June 1989. Born at 27 weeks into her mother's pregnancy, she weighed just 9.9 ounces, less than any surviving baby in medical history. Next week, she enters high school as something even more extraordinary: an honors student who plays violin and likes to rollerblade.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Barbara, You can't expect too much from the reality-challenged pro-abortion crowd. They use the term 'fetus' as if it meant something not human, rather than developing human. It helps them feel better. And of course, the unborn has his or her own DNA, and therefore cannot be labeled tissue from the mother's body. But this self-deception helps them feel better, too.
The pro-abortionists avoid thinking too deeply. It would make them feel bad.
According to the criteria of the pro-abortion crowd, this 9.9 ounce product of a six month pregnancy was not a baby, it was a piece of tissue from the mother's body, called a fetus. It had no right to life if the pregnant woman who conceived it wanted to kill it, since it was part of her body. Isn't it strange, it is a fetus in the womb, and it is called a baby out of the womb?
