A Milwaukee-bound Midwest Airlines jet was rocked by turbulence and plunged into a descent so steep, two flight attendants suffered broken bones.
The attendants were bounced up into the cabin roof and back onto the floor, snapping the leg of one of the women and fracturing the other's pelvis in several places.
The plane, which took off from San Francisco Thursday with 113 passengers, hit some slight turbulence about 80 miles north of Denver, prompting the pilot to turn on the seatbelt sign, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
