(CNSNews.com) - The late Walt Disney once cited church and prayer as inspirations for his professional success. Today, some conservatives believe Disney is "crying from his grave" because Walt Disney World in Florida has eliminated its 28-year tradition of offering on-site religious services to Christian guests.
The Orlando-based Disney resort and theme park began offering regular, weekend church services in 1975, but corporate officials claim the 35,000-acre facility can no longer accommodate 1,500 Catholic and Protestant families who want to go to those Sunday services.
Disney is now advising Christian guests to find other places of worship, some of which are miles outside of the Magic Kingdom's boundaries.
"I'm sure Walt Disney is crying from his grave when he sees what the current owners are doing to his basic belief system by saying, 'the inn is full. There's no more room for the baby...
Ask yourself though, does it cause you to sway in your Christian walk to see what happens to others or do you find yourself committing sin yourself by judging others because of what is being said. It's kind of like... am I sinner if I don't go to church on Sunday? I would think not. Will I be a sinner if you drink wine in front of me? I think not.. get the point?
Why should this suprise us? Disney was never Christian to begin with. There's no reason for it to worship God, because it never knew Him to begin with.
Whoa folks, we are argueing over a straw man...the issue that I would need to address is why are so many "christian" people spending so much time and resources, of which they confess to be stewards, on nothing more than entertainment, if that is as innocent as it gets. I challenge any of you Christ ian parents out there to watch the latest offerings of Disney with spiritual eyes, and if you are not vexed in your spirit by the humanistic, and occultish leanings, then get down on your knees, and I would say, pray for wisdom, and spend less time watching TV yourself, because it would be painfully obvious that your mind and spirit are blinded by the spirit of the world. Another question that I see as relevant is: why when we are on "holidays" do we find it no offense at all to profane the Sabbath, or the Lords day as some would call it? Makes me ask who or what we worship...
I am a child of Disney. I grew up in Orlando, Florida from 1970-1990. I went to Disney World over 100 times as a maturing adolescent. My whole life has been spent in the arts, drawing, painting,..etc. I know of what I speak. Please read the following statement with an open mind. "Walt Disney, the parks, the movies, the themes are all designed to condition the ideaologies of the human mind." Several facts to support this claim...Read any history on Walt Disney himself and his connections, habits...etc. The image of Disney (clean cut, American and wholesome)was crafted to carry the godless information(magic/occultic/alien). There is a hidden message in the Walt Disney signature. See for yourself, the "W" has a clear "6" forming the loop. The "dot" over the i in Disney is a "6". The "Y" forms ANOTHER "6". The THEME PARKS are used as conditioning centers as BILLIONS of people the WORLD OVER go through those gates. see? I sound like a conspiracy nut, but these are the facts from one informed and fully researched. some call it, "The Plan", others, "The New World Order", I just know that Satan is setting up his earthly rule very quickly now. Christians will be persecuted as Jesus promised. Stand tall in Him.
Disney World will no doubt continue accommodating the homosexuals "Gay Days". Which is an agenda to present an acceptance to their sinful, lustful habits to the young children. Mingling in with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto what better way, and place, to exploit the minds of the young.
I had a relative that quit a good job at Disney World. No one really needs to ask why.
The sad truth here is that Christians, or those professing to be Christians, are still supporting a company like this. I wonder what their view would be if ALL Christian money stopped flowing in?
