Chilling study blames Catholic Church for the Holocaust

The subtitle of Daniel Jonah Goldhagen's new book, "A Moral Reckoning," comes directly to the point: "The Role of the Catholic Church in the Holocaust and Its Unfulfilled Duty of Repair." The Roman Catholic Church played an active role in centuries of anti-Semitism and knew from the start that the Jews were being persecuted then exterminated. The church, under the leadership of Pope Pius XII, did nothing to stop that Germanic frenzy of mass murder and genocide. If anything, according to Goldhagen's overwhelming study, the church encouraged participation in the Holocaust.
Strong words for a church whose foundations have been rocked in recent years by the desire of women to be ordained priests, single-issue concerns such as abortion, birth control and gay rights, and the horror of its members at the willful and widespread misconduct of priests who sexually abuse altar boys. Now it is being blamed...
This whole deal with Catholics and there deeds being put in the name of "The Church" has been a problem for 100's of years now. Even today I am asked about the conduct of Catholic priests by non-believers and the first thing we have to do is educate people about is that the fruits of Catholicism does not line up with scripture and that Jesus does not agree with this behaviour.
Many Jews and non-believers see the true church of Jesus Christ as the Catholic church. While this is far from the truth it has turned many people away from true Christianity and salvation.
Whoever thinks that Roman Catholicism is a Christian Church or organization has not read any history (Foxe's book of martyrs) or looked at the source of their pagan practices and idols. They have been doing Satan's work since Constantine declared himself the head of the Catholic church and the god of Rome's pagan religion at the same time. Dave Hunt is a source of truth on RC's, but I think Ian Paisley and Billy Mullin have even more and they are reformed. swrb.com a supporter of semonaudio.com have many books and audios on the subjects of RC's and Muslims in prophecy and history. They also have a special offer on their Puritan and Reformed CD sets of rare books at the moment, that include a lot on the pope as antichrist, etc. The author says that the Jews didn't kill Jesus and of course it was the Romans who crucified Him, but His blood is on their heads as the gospel of Matthew 27: 25 says " 24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. 25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children." God is allowing this persecution because of the way they took the Son of God and put him to death. Just like Jesus' parable of about the owner of the vinyard who finally sent his son to receive the fruit of the vinyard. When the husbandmen saw him they said let us kill the heir and the vinyard will be ours. What then will the lord do to them? He will destroy them. The chief priests and scribes perceived that He had spoken this against them. (the Jews) "22And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!" (Luke 22) It was also determined that Jesus should die for the sins of the world, but woe unto those by whom He is killed! Now the Jews are still God's people and Paul was willing to be accursed from Christ that the Jews might be saved, but not all which are of Israel are Israel. "8That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." (Romans 9 - read the whole chapter please!) The disciples were all Jews the Whole Bible was written by Jews apart from Luke and Acts, but they were all about Jews. There are even today many Jews that are turning to Messiah like they did at Pentecost. Then they were pricked in their hearts about having killed the Son of God, their Messiah and said "what can we do?" Many received the word gladly and were baptized that day. These have recognised Messiah, but for those who reject Him, God is punishing them still. Christians should take Paul's action of preaching repentance and salvation through Messiah to the Jews first and then to the Gentiles. (Romans 1: 16)
One more comment; Herr Schicklgruber (Hitler's real last name) specifically replaced a Christian symbol (the Iron Cross) with a pagan symbol (the Swastika), held any number of rallies in Nuremberg in the ancient Teutonic style (i.e. Wagner's paganization of the Nibelungenlied).
Back in 1933-4, both state churches ("Evangelische" and "Katholische") nearly came to blows with the National Socialists. Dietrich Bonhoeffer (Free Lutheran) was executed for helping an assasination attempt on Hitler.
It sounds like the author missed some of this important history....
Before we completely agree with this article, let's consider that this is the "San Francisco Gate," not one of the more reliable sources when you're asking for a fair critique of Rome.
Not that mainline churches (including the Catholics) have much to be proud of concerning treatment of Jews (and Baptists & other "minor" denominations), but this is smear.
I was somewhat aware of the church's role in the Holocaust. Used as a witnessing tool to those who look at the 'church's' past I don't deny the past but embrace it by stating that Hitler couldn't have killed 6 million Jews without centuries of church-sponsored anti-Semitism. Of course this so-called church is responsible for killing of far more Christians than Jews. Which is more dangerous, i ask, a conterfeit dollar or a monopoly dollar? Satan isn't stupid. Any true Christian could not be anti-Semitic, of course, because Jesus was a Jew. A great video about this subject is Dave Hunt's "Israel, Islam, and Armagedden". This being a Calvinistic website I'm sure some of you would think twice about Hunt, but this video is one of the best documentaries on the subject of .. well, the Jews and Israel's biggest enemies (Catholicism and Islam)that I think it would be well worth your money. thanks alot.
