Ossuary suggests Mary wasn't a perpetual virgin

The stone ossuary calls into question the Catholic doctrine that Mary was a perpetual virgin, having conceived Jesus by divine miracle. The Bible does make reference to Jesus having siblings, but Catholicism teaches that they were really his cousins.

TORONTO - The discovery of a limestone box believed to have held the bones of Jesus's brother James may force a re-evaluation of key Christian beliefs, including the Catholic doctrine that Mary was a perpetual virgin, scholars at a mammoth religious studies conference in Toronto said yesterday.

"Many Christians didn't know that the Son of God could have a brother," said Herschel Shanks, the editor of the Biblical Archeological Review, which broke the story last month.

The burial box, known as an ossuary, is inscribed with words in Aramaic, the language of first-century Israel, saying "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus."

Experts among the 8,000 biblical scholars here for meetings of the American Academy of Religion and related biblical and archeological societies say although it is impossible to be certain, the odds are high that the ossuary did once contain James' bones. ...

Whoa, I dont think either of these comments have much to do with the article, gentlemen, the bible is rather clear that Joseph kept Mary a virgin until after the Christ was born, and the very doctrines that are being debated here are false, as for our opinions of the papacy, I have some of my own, you can e-mail me to discuss them, politely...

It is my opinion that people that do the Devil's work, for free and with glee are Anti-Christs. By spreading hate and ignorance, Mervyn, I'm sure he will appreciate your help. If you want to talk about bloody history look at Britain's history in Ireland (the laws of Queen Elizabeth I, Oliver Cromwell's cute little habits, the Potato Famine -over a million and a half dead), at Britain's history in India, and China. In England it was punishable by death to be Catholic from the middle 17th century until 1829. I think you guys are ahead by few hundreds of thousands. If you condemn the Catholic Church you are really condeming yourselves. People who live in Glass houses...? Guys like you should beware Jesuits, especially Irish ones.

Not surprising as the papacy(which is the anti-christ) has twisted scripture from the fable of Constantine having a "vision" of the cross. Look at her blood thirsty history and the things her preists have done to men women and children. have a look at the classic book,FOXES BOOK OF MARTYRS.
bE CAREFUL OF THE jESUITS.
