Godless Americans March on Washington
Thousands of nonbelievers converged on the Mall yesterday to demand equal rights under the Constitution and separation between politics and the pulpit during the first-ever Godless Americans March on Washington.

The roughly 2,000 demonstrators from around the nation — self-proclaimed atheists, agnostics, freethinkers and secular humanists — toted cardboard signs that read, "One Nation Under the Constitution," "Religion Kills" and "God is a Fairytale." Fewer than a dozen counter-demonstrators standing nearby taunted them by reading Scripture through a bullhorn.

The nonbelievers marched on the National Mall from 14th Street to the Capitol, where more than 20 speakers addressed the audience from a stage for almost four hours on a sunny but chilly day.

"This is a class in Activism 101. ... We Godless Americans are everywhere. ...

Looking at some of the videos, I see that there were both polite and not-so-polite people from both sides.

With 2000 - 3000 in the march, and about 60 protesters, one year later I don't know that this march had any lasting effect one way or the other, politically or socially.

It was probably just a way to feel good about the choices they've made, and assure themselves that despite appearances in the U.S., there are plenty of others out there like them. In that regard, I guess it was a success.

We must pray for those people, because one day they will stand before God and ashamidly give an account for their actions. May God save them and have mercy on their souls.

We had over 40 preachers from all over the USA. There were some other christians, witnessing also.
First we filled both sides of the march route. Judging by the response of the crowd they did not appreciate our message or our presence. We had 2 "atheists" that were upset enough to get physical. After they passed our position, we followed and ringed the crowd with about 40 scipture banners, for the complete 5 hour assembly
For a Godless rally, it seemed as if every speaker said more about God than some churches. Most speakers used mockery, again God being the subject.
It was not such a big crowd. Ruben said he has seen more people at a tupperware party.
One of the brothers told a young woman in attendance that God loves her and tears just streamed down her face. Unfortunately she did not get saved but allowed us to pray for her. She said she was not ready, to get saved.

Why is this surprising? The Bible tells of these people that reject the truth and spread lies to wth world, they are called false teachers. They may not believe in the one true God, but the god of this world bas blinded them. This nation was created under God, if they do not like it then they have the freedom to leave; however, they do not have the right to create a Godless nation of their own. Amen
