Police in Aspen Hill, Md., examine a gas station where a cab driver was killed.
Oct. 3 — Police in the northern suburbs of Washington, D.C., were searching Thursday for two men in a white delivery truck who they believe may have killed five people in a series of seemingly random shootings in public places.
THE KILLINGS in Montgomery County occurred within several miles of one another between 6:04 p.m. ET Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday and are believed to be related, police said.
County Police Chief Charles Moose said there was no indication that any of the five people killed were in any way related, or had been involved in a conflict with anyone.
“These individuals have not done anything, ... they are not associated with anything,” he said. “They are just victims.”
