Israeli rescue personnel carry a victim from the bus in Tel Aviv, Israel.
JERUSALEM ‚ÄĒ Downtown Tel Aviv was ripped apart by a blast at lunchtime Thursday, as a homicide bomber blew himself and five other people up aboard a bus traveling down crowded Allenby Street. At least 49 people were wounded.
"There were arms and legs on the ground. It was a horror," said witness Shmuel Salomon, who owns a restaurant in the area.
Herzl Ben-Moshe, a store owner trying to rescue passengers, said he saw several people lying on the floor of the bus, including one man whose legs had been blown off.
"People were yelling, 'Take us out of here,'" Ben-Moshe said.
