Presbyterian (USA) majority votes against allowing gay clergy
Conservatives in the Presbyterian Church (USA) have defeated a proposal to allow individual church bodies to decide whether to ordain gays and lesbians, a setback for progressives who had hoped the denomination would become more welcoming to homosexuals.
Last June, it looked like the progressive Presbyterians might prevail in what has been a deeply divisive debate. The church's general assembly of leaders voted 317-208 to recommend striking church law that bans gay and lesbian clergy who choose not to be celibate.
Since then, however, the church's 173 regional presbyteries have been voting on whether to comply. On Tuesday, the number of presbyteries opposed reached a majority, killing the proposal.
By Wednesday evening, the vote tally among 130 presbyteries reporting was 90 to 40 against the amendment. The Chicago presbytery was among the minority in favor.

Well I think the Bible is right, but I also feel that GOD loves us all no matter who or what we are. If so many people would worry bout themselves rather than others then the world would be better off. Everyone who say "LORD" "LORD" is not going to make it... Only those who God know have a pur heart will. God loves you even if your Gay, Str8 or what ever and thats the botton line.
How could anyone even consider any gay person,preaching? GOD FORBID, GOD destroyed SODOM AND GOMORRAH because of the unrighteousness,romans ch1 verse 26, says,for this cause,god gave them up unto vile affections,for even their women did change the natural use unto that which is against nature, and likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman,burned in their lust one toward another,men with men working that which is unseemly,god gave them over to a reprobate mind,any person that is a gay is not saved, if they turn from their unrighteousness god will be faithfull to save them,according to the bible,if american dont repent of their sins,we are headed for the judgement of ALMIGHTY GOD.
So a majority of the PCUSA's presbyteries voted (this time) to ban sodomite ordination. Big deal. Since 40 of their presbyteries voted to approve it, I don't where there is anything to happy about. Besides that, even their "conservatives" fully support the ordination of women, and the same hermeneutical yoga that was used to justify that travesty is now use by their sodomites to bolster their arguments. The PCUSA remains an apostate religious club, and is no church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
