SERMONAUDIO TIP Improved MP3+MP4 Podcasting Support on SermonAudio
Attention all users!
With the advent of the next generation of MP3 players -- most notably the Apple iPod and Microsoft Zune from Apple and Microsoft respectively, we have improved podcasting support on SermonAudio to allow now for 1-click subscriptions to podcasts throughout the site.
Here's how it works. Whenever you see an orange XML|PODCAST button on any broadcaster page, on any search results page, or at the bottom of any page on the site (for the site-wide podcast), you will now be presented with a small window with some additional podcasting link options as shown:
The iTunes and Zune "1-click subscription links" are only applicable for users of those devices and if the relevant software is installed on your computer.
Video Podcasting Support | New!
New videos that are uploaded to SermonAudio are automatically transcoded into the MP4 video format which makes your videos available via video podcasting through Zune players (natively in the WMV format) or Apple iPods (transcoded MP4 format). Downloadable videos "to-go" at no additional cost to our broadcasters or listeners!
Be sure to click on the "Video-Only" podcast link (on any broadcaster homepage) to subscribe to video podcasts (see the screenshot above) or click on the Download MP4 link to download an individual MP4.
Other improvements to podcasting on SermonAudio include improved album art, a more accurate "author" (speaker) field, and a better-formatted description field.
