Mr Morsi and his presidential team have been detained in the Presidential Republican Guards Club, according to a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The head of the Muslim Brotherhood political party and the deputy chief have also been arrested and warrants issued for 300 members of the Brotherhood.
