We are still on baby watch. I was dilated to 3cm last week, but was not in active labor. We made the decision to stay on bedrest until I reach week 37...which will be tomorrow. I have had a few episodes of regular contractions, but they did not progress. Somehow, this time around, I am not as excited about being released from bedrest. The knowledge that this might happen at any time makes me reluctant to do anything. We see the doctor again next Tuesday, and I think that I will make it until then. Things just feel stable, but I guess you never know...
I do have a prayer request for a friend of mine who is in her 26th week of pregnancy and was admitted to the hospital this week. Her frist child was born prematurely, so she is having a lot of anxiety about this pregnancy, The medications she is currently on are not stopping the contractions. She will need to be on bedrest, but her situation is complicated by having a toddler at home that needs caring for and a large Bay Area mortgage to pay. Her husband and mom are looking into what types of benefits they have at work that would allow them to be at home to take care of things. Pray that she gets the support that she needs and that she would have peace.
Well, I hope you all have a SAFE and fun 4th of July holiday!!!
We are expecting a little girl at the end of July unless she decides to make an appearance earlier than that. Sara is currently on bedrest and is working on keeping this site updated.
Our first daugther, Jessica, was a beautiful girl who was born May 1, 2003 and passed away from surgical complications on November 9, 2003. It's amazing how quickly time passes by.
