Youth Fun Night & BBQ 2008

Bad weather threatened for most of the day and did not fail to materialise - just as we were beginning to play the various competitions. Undeterred (well, relatively so!), youth fellowship members from Coleraine, Cookstown, Magherafelt, Mulvin, Londonderry, plus a few from other congregations, converged on St. Columb's Park in Londonderry for the Annual Sports Night. While we played in the rain, we did not photograph in the rain ... so the photos in this album were all taken indoors. For the record, the Girls Volleyball was won by Cookstown, the U-18 Football by Londonderry, and the Over-18 Football also by Londonderry. The 'Old Boys' faced the potential humiliation of being beaten by the 'Young Boys' as the two Londonderry teams went head-to-head for the Cup Final. Thankfully (!) early fears were unfounded, with the Senior team winning 2-0. Now for the tired bodies / smiling faces of those who bravely took part ......
