Rock pythons like to lie under water in pools, waiting for their prey to approach. Maybe it is a good thing I didn't know this before I waded through that particular pool on that Sunday night. We had 150mm rain within a short time, and the rivers were running across the roads we normally use to get home from Church. It took us 4.5 hours to cover the 100km distance in our Opel.
