"homo" - means "same" in Greek.
"phobia" means "fear" in Greek.

Fear of the same!!

Fear of the same what?

Like the word "gay" some people have stolen the word and now lie about its definition.
These are people who have to lie and deceive even in the construction of the word used to give credibility to their corruption of morals and language.

The father of liars is Satan.

"John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it"

The reason being, as 'words' may have unintentionally conveyed, "Thou shalt not kill" covers all eventualities.
Hi Mike;
The reason I said that was to illustrate that Jim and his NASB were not entirely accurate, since "kill" carries more than "murder."

Strictly Speaking if the NASB wanted to be completely accurate then their version should read,
"Thou shalt not dash in pieces."

H7523: raw-tsakh'
A primitive root; properly to dash in pieces, that is, kill (a human being), especially to murder: - put to death, kill, (man-) slay (-er), murder (-er).

"pervasive interpretive pluralism,"
Presumably you would want us to "bow" to a central authority as you Roman Catholics do. Viz the god you worship as church.

However with the Hebrew language and translation that would not be true nor honest. Hebrew to English is not a one word action.

Thus unlike the Roman Catholic, - we Christians must always try to be true and honest.

Are we to assume that you Romans would like the Bible to be written in Latin, so that the peasants wouldn't think for themselves?

Bro John, either "Thou shalt not kill" means you shall not murder, or it doesn't. There is a difference.
"Thou shalt not manslaughter" is not covered by "Thou shalt not murder"
Whereas "Thou shalt not kill" covers all eventualities.

"Manslaughter" comes from the latin "homicidium" from which we get homicide. These words emanatate from the early 13th century so are a question which the KJV writers would have discussed.

But I do also find it interesting, just looking at two different verses, that since Matthew 5:22 says "but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire." The Apostle Paul himself used that exact phrase in 1 Corinthians 15:36: "Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die" (KJV).
Two different Greek words.
Matt 5:22 - "moros" - From which we get the word "moron"

1Cor 15:36 - "Aphron"
